Republican Party Killed Reagan Era

by Michael Reagan - October 17, 2008 - Newsmax.com

The end of the Reagan era was brought to us by the Republican Party, which had thrived under his leadership and is now in danger of becoming a minor player in the nation's politics and a spectator at the birth of a socialist America doomed to follow the path to ruin of every failed state [which] has embraced the Marxist creed.

Damn you George W. Bush and Karl Rove for selling Republicans on the socialist big government, big spending agenda you called "compassionate conservatism". Damn you Dennis Hastert and Jack Abramoff for corrupting the weak representatives that we sent to Washington by our votes and thereby spending our tax dollars like they were leaves on trees. The combination of these two forces, socialism and corruption, has left us unable at a critical time to stop the sudden turn to the left by what today can only honestly be called the Marxist Party of Democrats. Republicans are justifiably reviled.

We are currently at war with three forces in the world. Islamo-fascism, Hispanic invasion and global socialism. All three forces hate America due to envy and greed. Many among us have warned for years of the growing consequences of these wars, but most Americans, even most Republicans, just would not listen. They were dismissed as prophets of doom. We were way too busy having fun to believe that evil forces of darkness were gathering to destroy what our forefathers built in this great land. Democrats have aligned with all three forces and embraced their attacks on America as justified.

I have argued for 10 years that the legacy of Ronald Reagan was not being respected. The election on November 5th looks like the death knell of Reagan's legacy, the Republican Party, and individual freedom in America. It leaves me empty and angry. If the Republican Party does not return to its Reagan Revolution, we don't just lose our Party, we lose our nation.
