Howard Dean, Defeatist

Editorial - December 7, 2005 - New York Post

Not all the surrender monkeys live in France.

Take Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean — the sedition-mongering former governor of Vermont who once presumed to the presidency and who now is working overtime for a terrorist victory in Iraq.

I have a number of friends who are democrats. They are patriots (or they would not be friends!) so they are really having a problem with Howard Dean's positions. It confuses me when they cringe at the more extreme statements being made by democratic leadership. However they turn right around and quote chapter and verse some of the milder ways of saying "Let's cut and run" that democrat support groups like "Answer" put out.

Patriotic democrats are not being honest when they attack the war. They are rationalizing that these partisan attacks are not anti-American. Part of the reason democrats are getting so angry and hostile these days is that they know in their hearts what they are saying is wrong.

Appeasement is appeasement.

They need to look at what has happened to their party. Howard Dean represents the people they are aligned with. Howard Dean is today's democratic party.
