Iowa Protest Aimed At Karl Rove Leads To Arrests

by Kay Henderson - July 25th, 2008 - Reuters

"It should be Karl Rove in that van. War Criminal!" one of a dozen protestors shouted as the four were put into a police van outside a Des Moines country club where Rove spoke at a private state Republican party fundraiser

We have reached the bizarre situation where Democrats reject the validity of Republicans winning an election. They define anything that Republicans do after winning as a crime. In truth, what the Republicans do after winning is what Democrats do after winning. They exercise the power of their positions. However Democrats are so convinced of their infallibility that they see anything Republicans do as criminal. Losing the election is just the starting point of Democrats trying to subvert the results of their loss.

I dislike Karl Rove. I believe that he has violated Republican principals and moved the nation, and my party, closer to acceptance of socialism. However he is at the least, still putting America first in the world. We are at war and Karl Rove and George W. Bush have fought the war. I will leave to later the final resolution of whether that war was fought well. However fighting it was not a crime as these protesters claim.

I don't understand how so many Democrats can blithely pretend that these people are not acting in their name. They disavow their actions even as they align themselves with these people at election time. That, to me, is duplicity.
