Six People,
Including P-D Reporter,
Arrested At Carnahan Meeting

by - August 6th, 2009 - St. Louis Post Dispatch

St. Louis County police say six people were arrested. Two of those were arrested on suspicion of assault, one of resisting arrest and three on suspicion of committing peace disturbances. [Rep. Russ ] Carnahan was gone when the ruckus started.

Kenneth Gladney, a 38-year-old conservative activist from St. Louis, said he was attacked by some of those arrested as he handed out yellow flags with “Don't tread on me” printed on them. He spoke to the Post-Dispatch from the emergency room of the St. John's Mercy Medical Center, where he said he was waiting to be treated for injuries to his knee, back, elbow, shoulder and face that he suffered in the attack. Gladney, who is black, said one of his attackers, also a black man, used a racial slur against him before the attack started.

“It just seems there's no freedom of speech without being attacked,” he said.

That is the reality of these meetings. The mob that the Democrats keep talking about is the mob they are sending out to silence opposition. When the White House sets up a web site for the purpose of intimidating their opposition, any expectation that the normal rules of conduct will be observed has ended. White House intimidation, physical assaults. Both are standard Alinsky tactics by a party of Marxists and socialists. That is what the Democrat Party has become.

What has since been reported in conservative blogs is the attackers were all wearing SEIU T-shirts and were inspired by President Obama to "punch back twice as hard" against conservative protestors. The intent by these union thugs is to intimidate those who oppose the Presidents socialized medicine program and end the protests.

The above article covers what happened outside the meeting.

It was not that peaceful inside either. This link is to an article about what happened inside the Carnahan meeting:

I love the closing comment, "By evening's end, Carnahan hastily departed without comment. His staff said the meeting did not turn out the way the congressman had intended."

No kidding.
