On The Campaign Trail

It was a great week in the campaign for U.S. Congress, 1st District, North Carolina! I had fun.

We held our Press Day and Announcement Rallies to kick off the campaign on Monday. Friend Joe Avery (shown above on left), Republican Chairman 2nd District, introduced me at all the events. I posted coverage on the Campaign Blog
here.

There were some great stories written and in almost all cases we made front page, above the fold. Clearly there is a lot of desire for change in the current representation of this district.

Here are links to the articles which have online versions.

February 1st, 2008 - Daily Advance - "Bertie Republican to challenge Butterfield for Congress"

January 29th, 2008 -
The Free Press - "ENC native to run for Congress"

January 29th, 2008 -
Rocky Mount Telegram - "GOP hopeful enters 1st District race"

January 29th, 2008 -
The Daily Southerner - "It’s Official"

January 17th, 2008 -
The Daily Southerner - "Republican to challenge Butterfield"

We also have video from my interview on the Henry Hinton "Talk of the Town" show in Greenville and video of all 3 press conferences (thanks to Bud Lee) and those will be posted shortly. Hope to see you on the campaign trail.
