Radical Islam's Conquest Of America
by Jeffrey T. Kuhner - August 5th, 2010 - The Washington Times
America is surrendering in the war against radical Islam. This is the real meaning behind the decision to build a 13-story mosque and Muslim cultural center 600 feet from the site of ground zero. A New York City panel gave the green light Tuesday for the project - despite intense resistance from many families of the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. Most New Yorkers and Americans do not want this mosque erected: It will be a symbolic monument to the triumph of Islamism in the United States.
We are at war with this religion, whether elements in the religion are willing to concede that truth or not. Progressive elements in America who are themselves dedicated to the destruction of America, take great delight in misrepresenting the concept of freedom of religion to assure our defeat. We are at war with Radical Islam even if progressives deny it. Since citizens of America have the right to freedom of religion, progressives demand we extend that right to enemies of America too. Such extension is duplicitous and deceitful.
All over America progressive dominated zoning boards reject the right of Christian Churches to build on specific land, and they have to move to another location. Yet asking these Muslims to move to another location is considered some horrible violation of a belief in religious freedom that progressives usually claim they reject. Why is the right of a Christian Church to build wherever they want rejected yet the same right for a Muslim Mosque is absolute?
Progressives like Mayor Bloomfield are also either stupid enough (or deceitful enough) to believe the supporters of the project that the name chosen, "Cordoba House", was selected to "symbolize interfaith cooperation". As history professor Newt Gingrich noted, Cordoba is the site of an early Muslim conquest, "every Islamist in the world recognizes Cordoba as a symbol of Islamic conquest. It is a sign of their contempt for Americans and their confidence in our historic ignorance that they would deliberately insult us this way."
Progressives insist that we cannot question the motives and intent of those who have declared war on our nation. Nor can we question the motives and intent of those who claim they are not a part of the war, even when their own religion brags that they can lie to us and it is okay. Progressives, like Mayor Bloomberg, insist we cannot take note of that dichotomy. We have to pretend that this religion, having declared war against America, is separated into two parts. Those who can lie about being a part of the war and those who we have to accept are not taking advantage of this ability to lie.
How are we supposed to tell them apart? Progressives think we are not permitted to try. We have to accept as sincere both those who hate us and those who may hate us. We are not permitted to doubt them. Nor can we act even on justified doubt. Using such intelligence we are told is violating our commitment to freedom of religion, a freedom they reject when it is convenient.
If we truly are required to be that stupid, it is no wonder Radical Islam is winning. Accepting such logic is ignorant and defeatist itself.
