Goldberg Defends Vick In `View' Debut

by Staff - September 5th, 2007 - Associated Press

Whoopi Goldberg used her first day on the daytime chat show Tuesday to defend football star Michael Vick in his dogfighting case.

Goldberg said that "from where he comes from" in the South, dogfighting isn't that unusual.

What utter garbage. Vick is just a victim of Southern culture? The south is a bastion of dog lovers, NOT dog fighters. I have never seen a group of farmers or truck drivers or workers anywhere in the South who would not stop two dogs from fighting immediately. The guys who hunt deer around here in Eastern North Carolina with dogs are very careful with their animals. The state doesn't like them doing it, but the animals the state is worried about are not the dogs; it is the deer. Southerners care for their dogs and never let them fight. We have mastered stopping any fights by dumping water on the dogs.

Where does Whoopi Goldberg get her knowledge? Vick is black and Whoopi is black and therefore she can say anything that she wants and get away with it. The fact that it is a complete and total lie is simply no problem for our liberals in the press. Black insults of Southerners have become standard as red necks are the only people you can insult and not have the press go balistic.

Vick is a psychopath. What he has done is reprehensible. There is nothing cultural about it . . . and certainly not southern culture. If it is a southern thing at all it is southern New Jersey, not the real south.
