The Bomber As School Reformer

As I have shown in previous articles in City Journal, [Bill] Ayers’s school reform agenda focuses almost exclusively on the idea of teaching for “social justice” in the classroom. This has nothing to do with the social-justice ideals of the Sermon on the Mount or Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream” speech. Rather, Ayers and his education school comrades are explicit about the need to indoctrinate public school children with the belief that America is a racist, militarist country and that the capitalist system is inherently unfair and oppressive. As a leader of this growing “reform” movement, Ayers was recently elected vice president for curriculum of the American Education Research Association, the nation’s largest organization of ed school professors and researchers.

The powerful position given to Bill Ayer's by this association is typical of the reverence for anything or anyone anti-American of our educrat unions. I refuse to call them teacher unions since they are not about teaching. Today these unions are totally about indoctrination in the Marxist ideology. They are also explicitly and openly anti-American.

With Barack Obama an activist teacher of the Saul Alinsky strategy of subverting America for ACORN, and the fact that every significant person in Barack Obama's life has been a communist, racist or anti-American, how can so few Americans be aware of his true agenda? Is it really that hard to get past the leftist extremism of our Main Stream Media (MSM) and recognize what he stands for? He babbles in vague terms about his "desires" but no one who has followed him can believe that any of it is sincere.

I am astounded by such support as the military group that wants MORE troops in Iraq explain that what they have heard from Obama convinces them that he is not really going to pull out of Iraq. Instead they are convinced that when he is President he will investigate what is going on and send in more troops, because they trust his judgement. How can anyone listen to Obama and reach this conclusion? People are mesmerized by his rhetoric and his confidence. For some reason I cannot fathom they do not see a charlatan. They see whatever they want to see.

Barack Obama and Bill Ayers paths have crossed repeatedly. The association is not superficial as Obama wishes to proclaim today. There used to be a time when Americans would be aghast at the repeated involvement of a serious American candidate who has a childhood hero who is a communist, who publicly belonged to a socialist Party, who taught the extreme philosophy of Marxist Saul Alinsky, who attended a racist church dedicated to opposing the "white rulers" of America and who wrote openly of being raised and taught in a Muslim school in his autobiography yet now denounces as liars anyone who says he was raised a Muslim for a time.

There is no difference at all in the agenda of Bill Ayers and Barack Obama. It is not about friendship. It is about political ideology. They both hate America.
