Joe Biden’s Alternate Universe

In Thursday night’s vice presidential debate between Senator Joe Biden and Governor Sarah Palin, Biden said the strangest and most ill-informed thing I have ever heard about Lebanon in my life. “When we kicked — along with France, we kicked Hezbollah out of Lebanon, I said and Barack said, “Move NATO forces in there. Fill the vacuum, because if you don’t know — if you don’t, Hezbollah will control it.” Now what’s happened? Hezbollah is a legitimate part of the government in the country immediately to the north of Israel.”

I have been searching all morning for some indication that anyone else picked up on this huge Joe Biden GAFFE! I have even spent considerable time researching the history to see if I missed something that Biden could have interpreted this way, to no avail. So I was delighted when this article popped up on my yahoo search. As soon as I read it I felt confirmed in my belief last night that this was a total Gaffe. What I cannot understand is how so may so called experts on so many channels keep saying, "well at least Biden did not commit any gaffes". My response is, YES HE DID!

This is totally wrong on so many levels it defies common sense that it would not be noticed. The key point: what Biden said is obviously self contradictory. If Hezbollah was kicked out, how can they now be a legitimate part of the government? Bizarre and stupid. Yet everyone lets Biden get away with it. Why?
