Climate Change:
It's The Sun, Stupid

by Randall Hoven - December 14th, 2010 - The American Thinker

Guess who wrote this.
"The Sun is the primary forcing of Earth's climate system. Sunlight warms our world. Sunlight drives atmospheric and oceanic circulation patterns. Sunlight powers the process of photosynthesis that plants need to grow. Sunlight causes convection which carries warmth and water vapor up into the sky where clouds form and bring rain. In short, the Sun drives almost every aspect of our world's climate system and makes possible life as we know it.

"... According to scientists' models of Earth's orbit and orientation toward the Sun indicate that our world should be just beginning to enter a new period of cooling -- perhaps the next ice age...

The 'climate scientists at NASA' is the answer to the opening question. They continue to dispute the pseudo science of global warming despite the promotion of this fraud by the political hacks heading NASA. They tried to silence James Hansen and any NASA scientist who disagreed with their political opinion that global warming was a serious problem. Global warming was (and remains) a political scam and never had any serious science behind it, though a few self interested scientists who considered political grants more important than their reputations promoted the scam for close to 30 years.

An important aspect of this issue is the idiocy of Ethanol subsidy, one of the ignorant programs foisted on us by the global warming fanatics. That scam is still being promoted to waste our tax dollars and even Republicans still do not get it. They caved and allowed this idiocy to be part of the so called 'tax cut compromise' they accepted with Obama and the Democrats.

Do the Republican leaders ever read anything but the politically correct gibberish of the Washington Post and the New York Times?

In a related article an even more important condemnation of the arrogance of some 'climate change' fanatics is described. The Christian Science Monitor has an article by Patrik Jonsson titled, "Snow storm snarls Midwest: Is US facing another extreme winter?".

In this article the prediction by global warming defender Joe Bastardi that 2010 would be a mild winter is reported as apparently being proved wrong. This forecast does not appear reasonable so far based on the extreme cold we have seen. As a result it is challenged by sceptic Jonathan Martin that "Given our level of ignorance about what's going on, we don't want to compound that with a level of arrogance by saying we know what's going to happen in a month." Mr. Bastardi, like most global warming proponents, is still insisting that the cold winter so far does not mean anything, just as he insisted until the end that last winter's extreme cold was not relevant.

His insistence reminds me of the response by some global warming defenders that the extreme cold is "caused by global warming."
