Bush's Better World
His Overlooked Successes On Foreign Policy And Security
by Peter Brookes - January 11th, 2009 - New York Post
If you asked Americans to list President Bush's foreign policy and national security accomplishments, you'd likely get some laughs - surely some snarky comments. Perhaps, at best, a short list.
But, in truth, there are a number of great successes. So as the Bush administration gets ready to exit the national and world stage in the coming days, it's time to give credit where credit's due.
Interesting article about a number of really tough accomplishments that are due to hard work and diligent attention to detail in the world of foreign relations and security. As often as they attacked him, the partisan bigots of the Democrat Party never cared what Bush was doing behind the scenes to keep us safe. As a patriot, Bush has to get high marks for this tough work. As a patriot, he did not always insist on getting public credit when keeping quiet was a part of assuring the success.
Since I am no Bush fan I think I will end with this. I have written more than enough about his shortcomings. On the foreign policy and security front, no one can fault him for anything but trivial issues which pale in comparison to the successes. The Democrat attacks in fact are evil because, if they really follow through on their criticisms, we will not be as safe in the future. How many will die in coming years because of this partisan hypocrisy by the left?
