Obama Politicizes The Census

... And Demonstates Again His Antipathy To Free Markets

New Hampshire Republican Sen. Judd Gregg has withdrawn his name from consideration as President Obama's commerce secretary, a major blow to an administration seeking to put a series of Cabinet problems behind it.

"It became clear to me to me that it would be very difficult day in and day out to serve in this Cabinet," Gregg said in a press conference late Thursday. He added that in the days since he was nominated he realized that to be "part of a team but not 100 percent with the team" was an untenable position.

Immediately Obama had his press representative Gibbs start spreading the lie that Gregg had originally asked for the position and that Obama had only grudgingly agreed. This is in total conflict with what one of the most straight laced and honest people in the Senate, Judd Gregg, said had led him originally to take the position. Who are we to believe? Obama or Gregg? After starting with this lie, they then trashed Gregg.

Once again the Alinsky mode of governance becomes obvious as the Obama strategy of preference. 'In your face' confrontation and deceit backed with personal assualts are the hallmarks of Alinsky. Obama has not indicated through any action to date that he is not still as dedicated to governing by deceit as he was in the days when he taught Alinsky methods to left wing radicals. He has also not indicated anything but antipathy to free enterprise.

It is little surprise there is not an obvious Commerce Secretary candidate that Obama can turn to. Obama's only interest in Commerce is as a cash cow for his socialist programs. With Bush and the Democrat congress having brought free enterprise to its knees over the last couple of years, Obama has problems at Commerce that he does not have a clue how to handle. In addition, the only real solutions are philosophically unacceptable to Obama. It is certainly going to be curious to see who would take this position in the current climate with the current President.
