Oil In Gulf Is Degrading,
Becoming Harder To Find

by Marc Kaufman - July 27, 2010 - Washington Post

Oil from the BP blowout is degrading rapidly in the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico and becoming increasingly difficult to find on the water surface, the head of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said Tuesday.

"The light crude oil is biodegrading quickly," NOAA director Jane Lubchenco said during the response team daily briefing. "We know that a significant amount of the oil has dispersed and been biodegraded by naturally occurring bacteria."

Lubchenco said, however, that both the near-[term] and long-term environmental effects of the release of several million barrels of oil remain serious and to some extent unpredictable.

"The sheer volume of oil that's out there has to mean there are some pretty significant impacts," she said. "What we have yet to determine is the full impact the oil will have not just on the shoreline, not just on wildlife, but beneath the surface."

In other words, the impact is no where near as bad as the environmental extremists wanted it to be so they could claim it as "the world's worst disaster". The claims for how much oil was escaping were always exaggerated. One report says that only THREE birds have died as a result of this spill. If the coast had been protected the damage would have been almost non-existent. The federal government dithered in protecting the coast because they wanted all those dead birds on TV. If Obama had; suspended the Jones Act instead of protecting the unions, demanded that the Army Corps of Engineers help build the sand islands instead of block their construction, and aggressively worked to organize the army of boats skimming the oil instead of insisting BP had to do that without any official power, most of the little damage that occurred could have been avoided.

Again and again the environmental extremists refuse to allow the media to remind people of one important fact; huge quantities of oil are spewing from the ocean floor naturally every single year. The oil eating microbes exist naturally because of that fact. Mother nature always cleans these so-called disasters like the Exxon Valdez faster than anyone suspects, especially the environmental extremists with ulterior motives. The scientists hired by the lawyers always portray the damage as much worse than it is so that they can jack up the extortion payments. And by the way, they have to send scientists out because the visible damage disappears so fast that only super sensitive instruments can even FIND the damage after a short period. Those microbes that Mother Nature uses to clean up the naturally occuring seepage are really good at their jobs.

What you have to do is understand what the last sentence in the quote from the article above means. The environmentalists say "What we have yet to determine is the full impact the oil will have not just on the shoreline, not just on wildlife, but beneath the surface." What they mean is "We will claim a disaster no matter what we find."

Ben [Bernanke] Sees
Taxes Swamping Economy

by Terry Keenan - July 24th, 2010 - New York Post

Why are well-off consumers turning so thrifty this summer? While the [New York] Times grasped for an answer, citing the recent stock market sell-off and general consumer malaise, it ignored the elephant in the room -- the looming tax hikes that have some calling 2011 "The Year of the Tax Increase."

With the very same consumers who drive more than 30 percent of retail sales facing income-tax rates approaching 50 percent here, it's little wonder that they are cutting back.

The biggest tax hike in a generation is less than six months away. Millions of small business owners will be hit by the tax increases as well, adding to the pool of buyers who are putting the brakes on spending.

I have been working for close to a week on an article about the coming tax increases that have already been passed by the Obama regime. It is amazing. All of them hit the middle class. They have been insidiously hidden in bill after bill after bill passed by the Democrats in the last two years. All were delayed to hide the political effect. Yet all are coming due soon. Right now everyone is focused on the expiration of the so-called Bush-tax-cuts. And they are a major component of the coming tax tsunami. Yet in reality, even if these cuts are extended, next year is going to be the start of a constant surge in taxes that will rapidly drive tax rates above the rates that nearly destroyed our economy under Carter.

Those who have money are finding ways to hide it from the Democrat tax machine. In the process they are proving once again that Democrats are too stupid to ever expect the "unintended consequences" of their socialist practices. These "unintended consequences" always doom them to destroying American wealth and jobs.

Obama Commission Will Call
For Trillions In Tax Hikes

by Floyd and Mary Beth Brown - July 24th, 2010 - Townhall.com

Obama debt commission member, Republican Sen. Judd Gregg of New Hampshire, launched a scary trial balloon on ABC News. Gregg suggested the debt commission will likely recommend a massive $26.7 trillion tax increase. Here are Gregg's actual words:

"Everything has to be on the table - there's no question about that... Erskine Bowles, one of the co-chairmen of the commission, has suggested a 75-25 split -- 75 percent of the savings being in spending, and 25 percent in revenues... I think it's likely that there will have to be a revenue component, but it should be significantly, dramatically -- and a 3-1 ratio is pretty dramatic -- dramatically less than the initiatives in the spending side of the ledger."

According to an analysis by Americans for Tax Reform if Bowles wants $3 in spending cuts for every $1 in tax hikes then the tax increases will be larger than anyone expects: "Bowles and Gregg can only be talking about cutting $3 in promised Social Security and Medicare benefits in exchange for $1 in tax increases."

Social Security recipients fit in two different categories. Those who paid in to the system and those who were given a free ride by politicians. Like the millions of immigrants who draw social security despite never paying a dime into the system. Come here after age 65 and you are imputed to have paid in. What a hoax. The Social Security system has been used like a social welfare piggy bank by Democrats since the time of Jimmy Carter. Of course you can be sure that all these solidly Democrat voters will not have their free ride ended. That would be "unfair".

"Financial Reform" And
America's March to Marxism

by Howard Rich - July 21sst, 2010 - Get Liberty

Contrary to Barack Obama’s rhetoric about protecting consumers, his new financial reform law represents a dangerous big government power grab that willfully ignores the true roots of the recent financial crisis.

It is also the latest example of America’s “march to Marxism,” the not-so-gradual implementation of a command economic system in which the free market is taxed and regulated into oblivion while new and expanded government bureaucracies wield unprecedented power. Like last year’s failed economic stimulus (which was nothing but a bureaucratic bailout) and this year’s health care reform law (the largest entitlement expansion in a generation), Obama’s latest Orwellian scheme is once again being sold to the public as a necessary, even responsible measure.

“Because of this reform, the American people will never again be asked to foot the bill for Wall Street’s mistakes,” Obama said. “There will be no more taxpayer-funded bailouts, period.”

Of course as Obama was making this pronouncement, the taxpayer tab for bailing out government-owned mortgage behemoths Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac [intentionally excluded from the bill] continued to soar. That bailout will now cost taxpayers at least $400 billion, according to the latest estimate from the Congressional Budget Office, although a deteriorating housing market could push the total above $1 trillion.

Obama was lying even before he opened his mouth. His penchant for carefully phrased lies is now becoming legendary, even as the blatant hypocrisy of his lies grows by leaps and bounds.

Obama's Failing Presidency

by J.R. Dunn - July 22nd, 2010 - The American Thinker

While Obama's reputation may no longer be that of a demigod, it hasn't fallen very far among much of the country's political elite. In uptown Manhattan and within the Beltway, Obama is viewed as a mastermind, a political wizard who gets pretty much what he wants and accomplishes what he sets out to do. As evidence for this thesis we're reminded that in his first eighteen months as president, Obama passed the stimulus, ObamaCare, and now a financial reform bill, a record unparalleled since FDR's legendary "Hundred Days."

When you combine this article with the recent article about the "ruling class", it provides insight into the uncertainty that is coming in November. This article provides a very intelligent assessment of the long term impact of Obama's socialist disasters.

It also notes that the liberal press and liberal intelligentsia will ignore the disaster and continue to adore Obama for generations after his disasters have become history. They still love FDR despite the proven failure of his programs.

Yet so many Republicans are themselves wrapped in the delusions of the "ruling class", loving big government and the power of Washington, it is still touch and go whether we can win a big enough victory in November to shorten the disaster that Obama is creating. Most Republican leadership remains totally clueless about what is happening in America.

Obama's Latest Monstrosity

by John Berlau - July 21st, 2010 - The American Spectator

The 2,315 page Dodd-Frank financial regulation bill that President Obama will sign today should not be called "financial reform." Instead the bill, which passed the Senate 60-39 last week when Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown joined Maine Senators Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins to grant cloture, should be called what for what it is: pages and pages of massively costly, counterproductive and possibly unconstitutional mandates on nearly every type of business except for those government-sponsored enterprises at the root of the crisis.

Five contemptible Republicans conspired with the Democrats to pass this abusive strangling of the American economy. They include Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.), Sen. Judd Gregg (R-N.H.), Sen. Scott Brown (R-Mass.), Sen. Olympia Snowe (R-Maine) and Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine).

Though on the cloture bill only 3 voted to allow the bill to move forward, all five proved by their ignorant comments on this bill both a total lack of understanding of free enterprise and contempt for the individual freedoms guaranteed in our Constitution.

God help us if this is generally indicative of the Republican party they represent. It often seems it is still as deviously progressive and pro big government as the Bush regime which was driven from office with such low approval ratings. Those ratings were a reflection of how much Bush was hated both by conservatives on the right and extreme liberals on the left. Bush still remains less public approval than Obama, which should communicate something to the Bush lovers. Clearly this gang of 5 identified above are as ignorant of the individual freedom our nation stands for as Bush was. They may think they are being moderate. In truth they are being traitors to freedom.

America's Ruling Class

-- And the Perils of Revolution

by
Angelo M. Codevilla - July 16th, 2010 - The American Spectator

As over-leveraged investment houses began to fail in September 2008, the leaders of the Republican and Democratic parties, of major corporations, and opinion leaders stretching from the National Review magazine (and the Wall Street Journal) on the right to the Nation magazine on the left, agreed that spending some $700 billion to buy the investors' "toxic assets" was the only alternative to the U.S. economy's "systemic collapse." In this, President George W. Bush and his would-be Republican successor John McCain agreed with the Democratic candidate, Barack Obama. Many, if not most, people around them also agreed upon the eventual commitment of some 10 trillion nonexistent dollars in ways unprecedented in America. They explained neither the difference between the assets' nominal and real values, nor precisely why letting the market find the latter would collapse America. The public objected immediately, by margins of three or four to one.

When this majority discovered that virtually no one in a position of power in either party or with a national voice would take their objections seriously, that decisions about their money were being made in bipartisan backroom deals with interested parties, and that the laws on these matters were being voted by people who had not read them, the term "political class" came into use. Then, after those in power changed their plans from buying toxic assets to buying up equity in banks and major industries but refused to explain why, when they reasserted their right to decide ad hoc on these and so many other matters, supposing them to be beyond the general public's understanding, the American people started referring to those in and around government as the "ruling class."

And in fact Republican and Democratic office holders and their retinues show a similar presumption to dominate and fewer differences in tastes, habits, opinions, and sources of income among one another than between both and the rest of the country. They think, look, and act as a class.

Ever wonder why Republicans are so much more frustrated with their elected officials than Democrats are with theirs? This article explains why.

Ever wonder why so many claim their is no difference between the leaders of our two main parties? This article explains why.

Ever wonder why so many corporate and Wall Street leaders are hard core Democrats and love big government? This article explains why.

Ever wonder why the Bush dynasty hates Ronald Reagan and has never embraced his libertarian principles? This article explains why.

Ever wonder why so many Republican leaders and their political consultants hate Sarah Palin? This article explains why.

Ever wonder why Democrats and some Republicans seem so determined to destroy our social contract, the Constitution? This article explains why.

This is a must read article for numerous reasons. However it is a very long article. It will only be read by those who truly love America, the land of the free. It will be viciously attacked by the ruling class and Democrat America, the land of welfare. It will also be attacked by Republican leadership that really wants followers, not self government.

I have noted the use of this term, ruling class, in several articles recently but did not truly embrace it until I read this article. On one level I now see just how perfectly it describes the evil that many Republicans have called RINOs. RINO was never an accurate or consistently applied term. It thus was useless. The ruling class term will now become a part of my personal observations on the evil of some politicians because it is so perfect, not just for my opposition to Democrats but my opposition to certain Republicans who embrace big government.

That said, as noted above, this article is a must read for many more reasons as well. On issue after issue citizen tolerance of a ruling class which tells us all how to live is the biggest problem in our nation.

The article also promotes another term, "country class", for those who oppose the "ruling class". It purports to describe those who believe in self government. I am not as enamored of this term because there is an earlier word which I believe describes proponents of self government even better. That word is American.

The NAACP Awards Racism

Video Proof

by Andrew Breitbart - July 19th, 2010 - BigGovernment.com

In this piece you will see video evidence of racism coming from a federal appointee and NAACP award recipient and in another clip from the same event a perfect rationalization for why the Tea Party needs to exist.

Barack Obama and the excessive number of black appointees that he has made to federal positions are starting a race war against whites in America. This article provides video proof of that amazing accusation.

Though blacks are only 12% of America's population, the percentage of Obama appointees who are black is approaching 40%. As the second video in this article prove, they are out actively soliciting blacks to apply for federal jobs under the premise that "they can never be fired" even if Obama stops being President. Their goal is clearly a society where blacks are immune from fair play and able to discriminate against whites.

This Obama appointee publicly brags about refusing to aid a white farmer. Instead she recommends that he find a white lawyer, "one of his own kind", to help him.

This is real folks. Despite the attempt to claim that the TEA parties are racists (a lie), the racists are Obama and his group of socialists who are "fundamentally changing" America.

Update 7/20/2010 - It has been announced today that the lady in question, Shirley Sherrod, has been forced to resign. We used to call that firing. However I guess Obama just cannot bring himself to fire "one of his own kind". So he uses the fiction that Ms. Sherrod quit on her own volition. Even though Ms. Sherrod insists the entire incident was taken out of context, you can watch for yourself and visualize what kind of context was meant by "one of his own kind", including the laughter it provokes from the black audience. Sherrod blames Fox News and Andrew Breitbart for slandering her. She claims she was trying to explain why blacks should not care about racism, yet even in her explanation she insists, "it is about black versus white".

What was ignored in the termination announcement from the White House or the Department of Agriculture was any information about the financial windfall that Ms Sherrod just received from the USDA. It seems there has been a settlement which will award a group Ms. Sherrod is part of, $13 million for trying to farm during the 1980s. Note that is trying to farm, not farming. You can find details of this cover up here.

It is part of a major plan by Obama to award another billion dollars to black farmers, having already given them a billion dollars previously.

Is Rick Santelli The
Father Of The Tea Party?

'If that's what they put on my tombstone, they can bury me with a smile.'

by Alissa Krinsky - July 19th, 2010 - TV Newser

... despite his passionate beliefs, Santelli doesn't "see politics in my future." A self-described Independent, though, he's pleased that after his '09 rant, some call him the Father of the Tea Party. "Look, if that's what they put on my tombstone, they can bury me with a smile.

"...This grassroots movement of the Tea Party, to me, is as American as it gets. And whether you are left, center, or right, to me it's not about politics. It's about, in this country, we're not afraid to speak up."

That is mostly what was so astonishing about the "rant" that provoked so strong a reaction. Many Americans were getting frustrated that no one would speak up about things we knew were wrong. It is evil to let people buy homes they cannot afford and then make the average tax payer bail them out. It is evil for taxes to be used to bail out banks that have made these same bad loans. The reaction to the "rant" was that simple. Why was no one else screaming about the injustice of the bailouts?

Santelli did. It was like the lightning that triggers a summer storm. The lightning flashes, the thunder rolls, and the rain comes down in torrents. The TEA Party is the rain that washes away the evil. It leaves that freshness which only follows a pouring shower.

Obama Lies

Obama lawsuit invites fortified state militia

by Ray Hartwell - July 16th, 2010 - The Washington Times

Arizona has enacted a law that enables state and local police to support federal immigration enforcement, in a carefully circumscribed manner. This moderate statute is under vicious attack by the Obama administration and assorted amnesty advocates. Yet Arizona and her sister states in the Southwest could take dramatically stronger actions to bring order to the border. And they would have both history and the Constitution on their side.

Obama lies when he says that ONLY the federal government can protect our borders. In truth, the founders were not unaware of the potential for a bigoted President who for political reasons would refuse to protect some states. They empowered the states in those circumstances to defend themselves. This article accurately reports that the Constitution permits Arizona to defend its borders far more aggressively than their new law provides.

They can actually create a militia and defend their border against the invasion. Signs placed miles inside the Arizona borders by the federal government concede that parts of the state have been invaded. That is proof beyond a reasonable doubt that invasion has taken place. That is all that is needed under the Constitution for Arizona to do whatever they need to do to respond to the invasion, up to and including creating a militia and waging war against the cartels and a Mexican government in blatant collusion with the invaders who have entered our nation.

Sarah Palin rebuts NAACP...

... charge of Tea Party racism

Editorial - July 14th, 2010 - Los Angeles Times

... Ben Jealous, the [NAACP's] newly elected president, was an outspoken critic of the [TEA Party] political protest movement this week, saying it divides the country and "represents a small and dying demographic."

Jealous added: 'It's time for the Tea Party to be responsible members of this democracy and make sure they don't tolerate bigots or bigotry among their members."

Late Tuesday, Tea Party favorite Palin posted her response. Among other things, she said:

It seemed that with the election of our first black president, our country had become a new “post-racial” society. ... We, as a united people, applauded that sentiment. We were proud of that progress. That’s why it is so sad to see that 18 months later, the NAACP is once again using the divisive language of the past to unfairly accuse the Tea Party movement of harboring “racist elements. ...

The only purpose of such an unfair accusation of racism is to dissuade good Americans from joining the Tea Party movement or listening to the common sense message of Tea Party Americans who simply want government to abide by our Constitution, live within its means, and not borrow and spend away our children’s futures. Red and yellow, black and white, this message is precious in all our sights.

Palin said she had just returned from a few days of visiting a remote Alaskan village with the family of her husband, Todd, who is a Yupik Eskimo.

"In the decades that our families have blended," Palin wrote, "I have never heard one proud, patriotic member judge another member based on skin color. Both Todd and I were raised to measure a person according to their capacity and willingness to love, work, forgive, contribute and show good character. We’re joined by the vast majority of Americans in this belief."

I would suggest that Ben Jealous stop proving he is aptly named. The organization he represents is the most hate filled, envy driven, coalition of racist bigots in our nation. There are a lot more blacks, hispanics, asians and other people of color at every TEA Party event than you will ever find whites, hispanics or asians at an NAACP meeting.

Robert Byrd's Highways To Nowhere

by Brian Bolduc - July 10th, 2010 - Wall Street Journal

His heart belonged to you," President Obama told the hundreds of West Virginians who attended Robert Byrd's funeral last week. "Making life better here was his only agenda." Maybe so. But despite the $4 billion in pork that Byrd served his constituents over the past 19 years alone—not to mention the untold billions before observers started keeping tabs—West Virginia remains the third poorest state in the country. Government spending does not prosperity make.

When Byrd became senator in 1959, West Virginia ranked No. 39 in median family income, and No. 42 in per capita income. Today, it's No. 48 in both categories.

There is probably no better evidence of the consequences of government pork than the State of West Virginia under Robert Byrd. His pork created an attitude of dependency that has slowly, but surely, driven the state downhill for as long as Byrd was Senator. From 39 down to 48. What a legacy.

When Good Trees Go Bad

by Russ Vaughn - July 9th, 2010 - American Thinker

Those damned infernal trees mysteriously presented evidence counter to their strategically placed thermostats, so the only conclusion to be drawn by these global warming zealots masquerading as legitimate scientists is that the damned trees are lying. Gotta be! No way these esteemed scientists data could be wrong here is there? Nope, those fickle, dumb-ass trees, after all these years, have suddenly changed their pattern of behavior, millennia in the making, for some unfathomable reason these geniuses just can't quite figure out. So what are we going to do about it? Well, hell, we'll just ignore the evidence of millenniums because it doesn't fit conveniently into our model of leftist global planning.

There has been repeated evidence presented that the thermostats of the "conventional" temperature recorders have been placed in locations that corrupt the data, always in favor of global warming. They have been found next to vents that expel heat, in the middle of paved lots, on the South sides of buildings, even under tin roofs.

Now we find that not only have they corrupted the data, they ignored data that contradicted their findings. Why do some people still defend these liars? Global warming is a scam.

The Elite Turn Against Obama

by Lloyd Grove - July 7th, 2010 - The Daily Beast

You’d think the well-heeled and enlightened eggheads at the Aspen Ideas Festival—which is running all week in this fashionable resort town with heady panel discussions and earnest disquisitions involving all manner of deep thinkers and do-gooders—would be receptive to an intellectually ambitious president with big ideas of his own.

In a way, the folks attending this cerebral conclave pairing the Aspen Institute think tank with the Atlantic Monthly magazine might even be seen as President Obama’s natural base.

Apparently not so much.

“The real problem we have,” Mort Zuckerman said, “are some of the worst economic policies in place today that, in my judgment, go directly against the long-term interests of this country.”

Obama’s top economic adviser, Larry Summers, and his departing budget director, Peter Orszag, can expect heavy weather when they land in Aspen later this week to make their case to this civic-minded clique of wealthy skeptics.

It appears that some of America's left wing elite, apparently including Barbara Streisand, have started to recognize that their wealth is at serous risk if they continue to support the Magic Marxist Messiah.

A most amazing part of this article is the comments left at the end on the Daily Beast web site. There are a number that advocate pure class hate and pure class warfare. I keep telling the Republican leadership that they are missing the point. Obama is not politics as usual. This is warfare. Obama has declared war on free enterprise. In fact, long before he was President he embraced the belief that America was evil. Obama thinks that destroying America would be a benefit for the world. I don''t agree with him. Yet a lot of his base is angry because they really do not understand the concept of balance of powers. They see Obama as dictator and they do not understand why he has not simply ordered all these Republicans and moderate Democrats to be incarcerated.

They see it as war. Therefor it is.

A Silver Platter Of GOP
Talking Points For November

by Neil Braithwaite - July 3rd, 2010 - American Thinker

•Over $800 billion in stimulus spending that hasn't worked,
•Using TARP funds to cherry-pick which banks survive and which don't
•9.7% unemployment when Obama promised it wouldn't go above 8%
•Bypassing federal bankruptcy laws and regulations to take over GM and Chrysler - using taxpayer money
•A "pay czar" deciding how much corporate executives can earn
•Almost three million jobs lost since Obama took office - when he promised to add four million by the end of 2010
•Passage of a health care bill against the majority will of the American people - many states are now challenging the bill as unconstitutional
•A slow and incompetent response to the Gulf oil spill - still leaking thousands of gallons a day over 70 days later
•Obama's deep water oil drilling ban will cost thousands of American jobs
•Failure to secure our Southern borders while suing Arizona for trying to protect its citizens
•A national debt increase of almost $3 trillion since Obama took office
•A federal debt that will represent 62% of the nation's economy by 2011 - with estimates of 100% in ten to fifteen years
•Pending cap and trade legislation laced with energy cost and job loss issues
•Democrats pushing a financial regulation reform bill that protects financial firms and ultimately hurts consumers - also being challenged as unconstitutional
•Democrats became the first House majority that failed to pass an annual budget resolution since the Congressional Budget Act was adopted in 1974
•Democrat tax increases slated for 2011 that will further harm taxpayers, the economy and job growth
•Numerous pay-to-play political scandals
•Obama's promise not to raise taxes on those making less than $250 thousand - already broken
•A weak and dangerous foreign and domestic terrorism policy

Despite this long list, many Republicans are floundering talking about issues that Democrats bring up. Republicans really cannot seem to get it together and focus on what is important. The current farce of a "Financial regulation bill" is a perfect example. Not a single one of the primary causes of the 2008 recession are addressed. NOT ONE! Yet moderate Republicans are lining up to give Obama a victory on the bill.

Why?

They are convinced that their job number one is to look bipartisan so they cannot let those nasty evil Democrats accuse them of disagreeing. Why they might look like they had a backbone and actually knew what they stood for.

The Distance NASA Travelled
Over 48 Years

The space program [is] 'a way to reach out to the Muslim world,' according to [Obama's] NASA administrator.

By Jim Prevor - July 6th, 2010 - The Weekly Standard

Think quick: What tasks would the president of the United States charge the head of NASA with performing: Going to Mars? Returning to the moon? Finding a replacement for the Space Shuttle? Enhancing U.S. technology?

Not President Obama. Charles Bolden, who heads up NASA, gave an interview with Al Jazeera and explained how President Obama had described his job:

When I became the NASA administrator -- or before I became the NASA administrator -- he charged me with three things. One was he wanted me to help re-inspire children to want to get into science and math, he wanted me to expand our international relationships, and third, and perhaps foremost, he wanted me to find a way to reach out to the Muslim world and engage much more with dominantly Muslim nations to help them feel good about their historic contribution to science ... and math and engineering.

Apparently NASA also doesn’t want to speak much about America’s engineering prowess; credit goes to everyone else...

So the man who mistakenly claimed he was a Muslim during his campaign, but then quickly denied it - even denying it was a Freudian slip, now charges our foremost technical research mission with; abandoning that technical research mission to instead help Muslims feel good about themselves. Obama keeps indicating by his actions that he is not proud of America. He is much more proud of Muslims, who he seems to think have contributed more to science than America.

A secondary issue with this new strategy is that Obama felt compelled to tell Al Jazeera and the Muslims of the middle east about the new strategy BEFORE he bothered to tell congress. I guess he can't waste time talking with congress when the people he truly cares about are not here in America.

Gaga Over Recession Worry

by John Crudele - July 6th, 2010 - New York Post

Let me explain a bit about the concept of a "double dip" recession, which has been getting as much publicity as Lady Gaga.

The economy, as you know, hasn't been behaving itself lately -- also kinda like Ms. Gaga. Just when we think business conditions are going to start acting more ladylike, the economy shows you its butt end and raises a middle finger.

It happened again on Friday when the Labor Department announced that 125,000 jobs were lost by the US economy in June. Most of the loss was because the 2010 Census is winding down, but the number of new private sector jobs was also abysmal.

President Obama quickly rushed to the cameras -- as politicians often do -- to explain that even with the May dip we should be grateful that we've had five straight months of job growth.

You shouldn't be grateful.

In fact, you should be angry -- not only about the poor performance of the job market (and I'll get to the misleading notion that we've had five months of job growth in a moment) but also because you are being conned.

The most valuable information in this article is where the writer points out that un-adjusted information does not show any job gains except for temporary census workers. The one million new jobs that Obama touts are jobs Obama's bureaucrats think were created but for which no evidence exits. Last year all of these upward adjustments were proved to be fictitious lies and they ultimately were restated downward to reflect the reality. They are fictitious lies now. They will be restated downward later and Obama will never take note of the restatement.

There have been no job gains except for the federal government adding new bureaucrats to terrorize citizens and make them behave the way the Obama tyranny thinks they should behave. That is why anyone who cares about America should be outraged.

Barack Obama: The Great Jobs Killer

by Wayne Allyn Root - July 4th, 2010 - Las Vegas Review Journal

Obama is as hopeless, helpless, clueless and bankrupt of good ideas as the manager of the Chicago Cubs in late September. This "community organizer" knows as much about private-sector jobs as Pamela Anderson knows about nuclear physics.

It's time to call Obama what he is: The Great Jobs Killer. With his massive spending and tax hikes -- rewarding big government and big unions, while punishing taxpayers and business owners -- Obama has killed jobs, he has killed motivation to create new jobs, he has killed the motivation to invest in new businesses, or expand old ones. With all this killing, Obama should be given the top spot on the FBI's Most Wanted List.

This is becoming more and more the litany of those who actually know something about economics and fiscal policy. Wayne Allyn Root is a libertarian. He is thus someone who was as opposed to the big government giveaways and stimulus programs of the Bush regime as he is with Barack Obama and the socialist regime he has installed to replace Bush's hypothetically superior "efficient" big government promoted under the label "compassionate conservative".

Wayne is right about Obama just as he was right about Bush. Our current economic and fiscal policies are totally insane.

This is an excellent example of the growing number of articles that point out just how incompetent Obama and his socialist minions are at dealing with the economic mess that Bush and the Democrat Congress started to create between 2006 and 2008. Obama came in to office and simply doubled down on the stupidity of those two years and has made it much worse. Obama even implemented vastly greater deficits after having had the arrogance to criticize Bush for his deficits.

Obama cannot fix the problem. He is too beholden to the corrupt unions and big government workers who continue to live high on the hog while the nation slides into depression.
