Islamic Law Comes To Dearborn

by Pamela Geller - June 23rd, 2010 - Human Events

Is it illegal to preach Christianity to Muslims in America now?

Acts 17 Apologetics, a Christian evangelistic group, was banned from passing out fliers at this year’s Arab Festival in Dearborn, Mich., but they went to the festival anyway and ended up getting arrested.

On Saturday, I got this message from David Wood of Acts 17: “Muslims threatened to kill Nabeel [Qureshi, an ex-Muslim and David’s colleague] and me if we showed up again at Arab Fest in Dearborn, so we went there yesterday. They didn’t kill us. Instead, police arrested us and we got to spend a night in jail (along with two others who were video recording us).”

Wondering if they were arrested for passing out fliers in defiance of the ban, I asked David about the ban. He answered, “Yes, we’re banned from handing out literature, but we didn’t do that. We followed the rules, and still got thrown in jail. They flat out lied about us. We can prove they lied with the video footage (just like last year), but the police took our cameras and won’t let us have the footage. There’s major oppression of anyone who criticizes Islam.”

Can you imagine what would happen in the MSM if any group of Muslims was treated the way these Christians were treated? Why do the police get to arrest someone for simply video taping a public event? When did the right to peaceful assembly get converted into a right to ban other people from a public place? Especially when did this become a basis for the right to arrest them? What gives the police the right to seize video that will prove whether the defendents were obeying the law and then refuse to release it?

What is happening in America is the subversion of all rights for Christians and whites. Only blacks and Muslims have rights.

FBI Arrests 10 Accused Of
Working As Russian Spies

by Jerry Markon - June 29th, 2010 - Washington Post

FBI agents arrested 10 people on charges that they spent years in the United States as spies for Russia, taking on fake identities and trying to ferret out intelligence about U.S. policy and secrets by making connections to think tanks and government officials, the Justice Department said Monday.

The arrests Sunday capped an almost surreal investigation that extended to the Clinton administration and involved video surveillance, hidden microphones and surreptitious FBI searches of homes along the East Coast. It climaxed Saturday with a fake "drop" in a park in Arlington County, when one of the suspects left $5,000 in an envelope inside a folded newspaper, which was recovered by the FBI.

For over a decade now there have been hints that the global socialist conspiracy to create a world government was still being fomented by Russia. Though the Soviet Union collapsed, it was never anything but a front for Russian communist expansionist desires.

It still is. Americans who embrace the socialist campaign, including both President Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, are thus fellow travellers at the least with our worst enemy. Russia is not a friend of our nation. The ridiculous attempt by the Obama regime to "reset" our relationship is thus the goal of a naive amateur. Or worse - if Obama really is the Manchurian candidate that many feel he is.

Inside The Black Panther Case
Anger, Ignorance And Lies

by J. Christian Adams - June 25th, 2010 - The Washington Times

The New Black Panther case was the simplest and most obvious violation of federal law I saw in my Justice Department career. Because of the corrupt nature of the dismissal, statements falsely characterizing the case and, most of all, indefensible orders for the career attorneys not to comply with lawful subpoenas investigating the dismissal, this month I resigned my position as a Department of Justice (DOJ) attorney.

As bad as our corrupt court system was before the election of Barack Obama, his appointment of Eric Holder as Attorney General has turned it into a total farce. The elections of 2010 and 2012 will be rampant with voter intimidation. Obama has seen to it.

The dismissal of this case is not an isolated example of the rampant racism being turned loose in our nation by this extreme left wing socialist. In addition to being a socialist, Obama is one of the most amazing unchallenged racists who has been President since the extreme left wing socialist President, Woodrow Wilson.

Why are these extreme socialists never held accountable for their racism? The most chilling line in the article is "Citizens would be shocked to learn about the open and pervasive hostility within the Justice Department to bringing civil rights cases against nonwhite defendants on behalf of white victims." As noted in the article, black attorneys working for our government believe they should permit these crimes to go unchallenged since Obama's victory makes it "payback time".

That is equal protection under the law for Obama. "Equal" for blacks. Non existent for whites.

Black Racism Is Rampant

This author calls it "Ghetto Racism"

by Ying Ma - June 25th, 2010 - FrontPage

Racist attitudes and racially motivated crimes in the inner city [by blacks against other races] have existed for a long time, long before surveillance cameras captured them for distribution on the Internet. Now the images shock the consciences of all those who live in safer neighborhoods and prefer not to face the horrors that one human being could inflict one another. Everyone agrees, something must be done, but what?

It is crucial, as everyone now urges, that the criminals be brought to justice. It is just as important, as both law enforcement and civilians insist, to impose law and order on lawless streets.

Ultimately, however, safer streets and more secure neighborhoods depend in no small part on the willingness of residents to demand personal responsibility from everyone and condemn racist behavior across the board.

Yet current attitudes do not allow that.

What we should find contemptible is the self righteous attitude that "the poor blacks" just cannot be racist. In reality, the constant vitriolic denunciation of "honkeys" or "white boys" is not an attitude of anything but racism. The black community today is more arrogant in their assumed racial superiority than plagued by any feelings of inferiority. Obama is President. Therefore they should be on top - in their minds. They are better. Obama is proof they are better. Because they are not better off though, they see this proof they have been cheated. Nothing you do or say will change that attitude.

Then they walk out their front door and see this tiny minority of Asians working hard and getting ahead, scoring better than whites on tests - and much better than blacks, saving their money and living well. Their reaction is one of envy and hate. Their reaction is to beat Asians to death for their insult to the blacks who should be on top.

Blacks are equally vicious towards Jews, calling them "kike" or "hymie". They too are being beaten to death in statistically unbelievable numbers. In general there is a greater use of derogatory terms towards others by the black community than any other part of American society. To blacks, race is a constant issue. And they use violence to make the point.

Far from bringing the races together, the election of Obama has seriously aggravated the race issue in the black community. Criticism of Obama is seen as unjust criticism of the black race. He is President. He is therefore perfect. Criticism is unjust and unacceptable. Criticism of blacks is unjust and unacceptable by inference.

They have been taught to say (and believe) that blacks cannot be racist. Any hate they feel is justified. It is thus not racism. Just ask them.

This is not going to end well.

The Latest Thievery: Best Friends

by Jonah Goldberg - June 23rd, 2010 - Townhall.com

There's a great moment in the 1993 movie "Searching for Bobby Fischer." Ben Kingsley plays a coach for a 7-year-old chess prodigy named Josh. Kingsley wants the boy to stop playing chess in the park and devote himself completely to Kingsley's tutelage. Josh's mother doesn't like the idea, because she's a jealous guardian of her son's childhood. "Not playing in the park would kill him. He loves it."

Kingsley complains that her decision "just makes my job harder."

"Then your job's harder," she responds.

As the father of a 7-year-old myself, that scene comes to my mind all the time. Most recently, when I read a profoundly depressing story in the New York Times about how "some educators and other professionals who work with children" don't think kids should have best friends.

I frequently have little use for the center right Jonah Goldberg. There are times when I wonder what he truly believes, if anything. His subtle sabotaging of Sarah Palin leaps to mind as a perfect example of Jonah's... I don't know what to call it. Perfidy comes to mind, but then I have no proof. Just a lack of trust that I cannot get over. He seems a good man but...

Yet Jonah does have a knack of writing about important things and coming down on the side of common sense. Our schools have been sabotaging education for a couple of generations. Now they are trying to sabotage any act that interferes with their ability to brainwash our children. This is truly important stuff. So it is impressive that Jonah is on the right side almost immediately. Again.

Like his book "Liberal Fascism", this article is an early and excellent summation of what is true and why we should be concerned.

Ignoring my personal unease about Jonah, this article is a must read for those who love freedom, love our nation and do not believe allowing teachers to brainwash our kids to be tolerable.

GOP State Representative
Tim Scott Defeats Thurmond

by Robert Behre - June 23rd, 2010 - The Charleston Post and Courier

State Rep. Tim Scott took a step toward history Tuesday night, handily locking up the Republican nomination for the 1st Congressional District.

His 3-1 win over his former Charleston County Council colleague Paul Thurmond makes him likely to become the first black Republican to serve in Congress since J.C. Watts of Oklahoma retired six years ago.

With all five counties reporting, Scott had won about 68 percent of the vote to Thurmond's 32 percent. In Horry and Georgetown counties, where Thurmond had garnered a lot of support from local candidates, Scott still won by a smaller margin with about 56 percent of the vote in both counties.

Strom Thurmond's son loses his bid to represent his father's state because he became, like many Republican insiders, a traitor to the cause of freedom. He was perfectly willing to espouse socialist and pork barrell positions at a time when the Republican Party base, goaded by the TEA party movement, has returned to fiscal sanity.

Tim Scott did not win because he is black. Tim Scott won because he was more sincerely committed to our future as a free nation than Paul Thurmond. Therefore the overwhelmingly white electorate voted for Scott over Thurmond. This race was ignored by the national press because it did not bode well for proving that Republicans are racists. Had Thurmond won, that would have been the theme of all the articles. With Scott's victory, the national MSM is simply dumbfounded. Just as they are about all other aspects of the TEA Party movement.

Congratulations Tim Scott. A well earned victory for the TEA Party movement.

Beyond Pathetic

by Andrew B. Wilson - June 28th, 2010 (Publication Date) - The Weekly Standard

BP’s Gulf disaster was no surprise to those who understood the corporate culture.

How ironic that this disaster is the fault of the corporation that almost single handed drove the cap-and-tax idiocy Obama and the Democrats espouse here in America. Through its huge political contributions to Obama and the Democrats, it also helped to create the crony capitalism environment we currently face in America.

There has to be some poetic justice in the dressing down that BP received at the hands of the people they thought they had bought. Politicians don't stay bought.

This article is an extremely valuable debriefing of both the culture of environmentalism that allowed BP's processes to deteriorate (leading to a number of near disasters before the big disaster occurred) along with the political corruption that permeated this ignorant company's loss of attention to their main job.

Their actions were truly beyond pathetic.

Obama Administration Only Accepted
Help From 5 Countries

... Out Of 28 That Offered Assistance

Even worse, they only accepted 5 of 56 separate offers of assistance. So even when a country was allowed to help - Obama restricted what help they could provide.

It took Obama 60 days to accept most of the limited help he approved. Click on the title above to see details of the offers including specifics of the ones ignored or rejected.

One assistance rejected was the offer of an extremely effective high speed oil separation system. It left minor amounts of oil in the water that did not meet the high standards Obama demanded. So 99% of the oil that could have been removed flowed into wetlands because we could not allow 1% of the oil to bypass the removal system. Let's see? 1% versus 99% damages the wetlands. Anybody reading this have a problem making that common sense decision? The reason that other countries use this system is that it is so much faster at separating the oil than the perfect systems approved by USA government bureaucrats. As a result more oil is removed in an emergency situation. I guess Obama just doesn't see this as an emergency.

Obama is still blocking things - such as his stupid restrictions banning the barges that were sucking up oil, not because the barges did not have enough life vests, but because they did not have documentation that proved they had enough life vests. For three days oil damaged the coastline waiting for the approvals. Ultimately no inspections were done and no paperword was required. Sorry! The Army Corps of Engineers took 45 days to decide that building sand berms to absorb the oil might do less environmental damage than having the oil flow into the coastal wetlands without restriction. Sorry!

Obama has no common sense. He runs a government whose bureacrats have abandoned common sense. That must be what a community organizer learns how to do. Just can't have government allow help to move forward unless it is the right kind of help and the right people get credit for making sure that the right rules are followed. Does that make sense to you?

Commemoration of Juneteenth
- The Celebration Of Black Freedom

by Frances Rice - June 19th, 2010 - Canada Free Press

As we celebrate Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day or Emancipation Day, it is fitting that we pause to recognize the origin of this important part of our African American heritage.

June 19th marks the day in 1865 when word reached blacks in Texas that slavery in the United States had been abolished. More than two years earlier, on January 1, 1863, Republican President Abraham Lincoln had issued the Emancipation Proclamation.

This article is a great short history of the long term and ongoing support for civil rights of the Republican Party. It also provides a useful litany of the lies still told by Democrats today to cover up the history of their racist views including their ongoing obstruction of liberty for the black community.

The Two Faces Of The Tea Party

by Matthew Continetti - June 28th, 2010 (Publication Date) - The Weekly Standard

As a student in the exciting new field of Tea Party Studies, I’ve noticed that no one agrees on what the Tea Party actually is. Is the anti-Obama, anti-big government movement simply AstroTurf fabricated by Dick Armey’s FreedomWorks? Is it a bunch of Birthers, Birchers, conspiracists, and white power misfits? Is it a strictly economic phenomenon—the inevitable result of high and persistent unemployment? Or are the Tea Partiers nothing more than indulgent Boomers who combine 1960s social libertarianism with 1980s laissez-faire economics? Does the Tea Party draw on longstanding American constitutional, political, and economic traditions, eddies of thought that one can trace back to James Madison, Thomas Jefferson, and Andrew Jackson? Or is it of a more recent vintage: Are the Tea Partiers simply the same folks who once were called Reagan Democrats and Perotistas?

It is clear that Continetti has zeroed in on some contradictions of the TEA Party Movement. On the other hand, I disagree with him that it can be deconstructed into two faces, with Rick Santelli representing the so called optimistic side and Glen Beck representing the pessimistic side. That makes a good premise for the article. It simply is not true.

The real question that needs to be answered - is it perception we are simultaneously at war with global socialism, La Razanism and Islamofascism or reality? Or conversely are some of the people on the political left simply making some minor mistakes in the way they govern or are they subverting freedom? If we really are at war with three movements that have permeated our society and are dedicated to its destruction we cannot tweak our way back to prosperity by slowing the move to leftist politics. Is there an American "progressive" movement aligned with foreign proponents who wish to see a world government with socialists on top? Is La Raza trying to take back a third of our nation by a slow invasion? Do the Islamofascists think they can dominate the world with their New Caliphate?

In criticizing Beck Continetti has made a bizarre case that Beck advocates abrogating our international commitments. What is curious is that Obama is currently cutting these commitments and charting a new course for our foreign policy while Beck is criticizing this. Continetti cannot make his case with such basic flaws in logic. He is, as Obama frequently does, creating a straw man of his own creation so that he can project it onto his opponent for ease in disparaging his target.

The failure of Continetti and the so-called cheerful wing of the TEA Party movement is that they have ignored the progressive subversion of our schools, the war against Christianity, the links to the global socialist movement among our intellectuals, the invasion and destruction of our borders by the La Razan movement, and the alignment of the left with the Islamofascist movement. Things are worse than they believe.

We are at war. Putting a happy face on the TEA Party Movement does not mean we are not at war. America is a happy place because we are free. We are not free because we are happy. As leftists make us less free we become less happy and more distrustful of government and the two political parties. The subversion of freedom is real and Continetti seems intellectually divorced from that reality.

A Mind-Changing Page

by Thomas Sowell - June 17th, 2010 - Townhall.com

Those who think that the stock market crash in October 1929 is what caused the huge unemployment rates of the 1930s will have a hard time reconciling that belief with the data in that table [and that mind-changing page].

Although the big stock market crash occurred in October 1929, unemployment never reached double digits in any of the next 12 months after that crash. Unemployment peaked at 9 percent, two months after the stock market crashed-- and then began drifting generally downward over the next six months, falling to 6.3 percent by June 1930.

This was what happened in the market, before the federal government decided to "do something."

What the government decided to do in June 1930-- against the advice of literally a thousand economists, who took out newspaper ads warning against it-- was impose higher tariffs, in order to save American jobs by reducing imported goods.

Once again the smartest man in America gives some common sense advice to our nation, much of which is unfortunately not listening. Thomas Sowell looks at what happens and pays attention. He is smart enough to read volumes of data and make sense of it. Sometimes he simply looks at data that even an idiot can read and points it out to the idiots who will not read.

Hoover, FDR and the interventionists after the 1929 market crash ignored the evidence of the earlier success of Harding and Coolidge in handling the market crash after World War I. Their efforts to cut back government and allow the free market to recover led to the huge economic prosperity of "the roaring 20s". The greatest economic boom times in history. Harding and Coolidge are never given credit for their actions in creating that prosperity.

Though Hoover was a Republican and FDR was a Democrat, both were Wilson "progressives" (essentialy socialists), which meant they believed in a government dominated "planned" economy. Their shared experiment in the 30s was a disaster. Instead of cutting government expenditures and letting the free markets recover, they raised taxes, borrowed and regulated business. The results were predictable to any except those who will not learn.

The fiasco of Carter trying the same tactics should have put a nail into this progressive experiment for all time. Yet as recently as 2000 another Republican like Hoover, George W. Bush, tried to turn the Republican Party into a progressive modeled big government boondoggle. In essence he wanted us to be a variation of the Democrat Party, only more patriotic. Why is it that our politicians cannot see the idiocy of this repeatedly failed form of government?

Read this article by Thomas Sowell. It is proof that government intervention and stimulus is always a disaster. How hard is that to understand?

An Offer BP Couldn’t Refuse

by Conn Carroll - June 17th, 2010 - Heritage Foundation

... look at how the deal between the White House and BP is structured. BP is not handing over a $20 billion novelty check tomorrow. Instead they are set to pay $3 billion in the third quarter of this year, $2 billion in the fourth, and then $1.25 billion per quarter thereafter. In the meantime, BP has identified $20 billion worth of assets in the United States that the federal government now has a lien on. In the event of a bankruptcy, guess who gets to jump in line and have their claims honored first? Still guessing? Then ask Chrysler’s secured creditors.

Yesterday’s “voluntary” deal between BP and the Obama administration was nothing less than a continuation of President Barack Obama’s ongoing assault on the rule of law. Capitalism only succeeds if it is a profit and LOSS system. Well-managed firms should have every right to keep their profits, but mismanaged firms must be allowed to suffer losses. By all accounts of what transpired on the Deepwater Horizon, BP is a terribly mismanaged firm. If the damage they caused is great enough, they should be allowed to fail. Failure is a necessary component of capitalism. But this administration refuses to allow the rule of law to work. From Fannie Mae to Freddie Mac, from GM to Chrysler, from AIG to Citibank, our government continues to subvert the established rule of law. This lawlessness creates uncertainty in the business environment, and it is a huge reason why our economy is not recovering as it should be.

Last night on CNN former Clinton Administration message man James Carville said: “It looks as if President Obama applied a little old-school Chicago persuasion to the oil executives.” Making “offers you can’t refuse” may be a great way to run the mob, but it is no way to run a country.

Where is the Supreme Court? This is now the fourth or fifth complete corruption of our court system and the Supreme Court does nothing. That is exactly how the rule of law dies in most banana republics. Which is of course exactly what America is today.

Hamas Rises In The West

by Caroline Glick - June 15th, 2010 - The Jerusalem Post

Led by US President Barack Obama, the West has cast its lot with Hamas. It is not surprising that Obama is siding with Hamas. His close associates are leading members of the pro-Hamas Free Gaza outfit. Obama’s friends, former Weather Underground terrorists Bernadine Dohrn and William Ayres participated in a Free Gaza trip to Egypt in January. Their aim was to force the Egyptians to allow them into Gaza with 1,300 fellow Hamas supporters. Their mission was led by Code Pink leader and Obama fund-raiser Jodie Evans. Another leading member of Free Gaza is James Abourezk, a former US senator from South Dakota.

All of these people have open lines of communication not only to the Obama White House, but to Obama himself.

Obama has made his sympathy for the Muslim Brotherhood clear several times since entering office. The Muslim Brotherhood’s progeny include Hamas, al-Qaida and the Egyptian Islamic Jihad. Last June, Obama infuriated the Egyptian government when he insisted on inviting leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood to attend his speech at Al Azhar University in Cairo. His administration’s decision to deport Hamas deserter and Israeli counterterror operative Mosab Hassan Yousef to the Palestinian Authority where he will be killed is the latest sign of its support for radical Islam. [Emphasis added!]

Given Obama’s attitude toward jihadists and the radical leftists who support them, his decision to support Hamas against Israel makes sense. What is alarming however is how leaders of the free world are now all siding with Hamas.

I had not read any of the top web sites in the Middle East for a couple of months as I have been focused on a local political campaign that I see as important to North Carolina. However the actions by Obama to subvert the Israelis in the recent blockade busting efforts got me back into following what is happening there.

What is happening? Obama is taking actions that will almost certainly lead to war. With Obama as our President, Israel will stand alone. Turkey has already moved 180 degrees from their previous support of Israel and has joined Iran in efforts to eliminate Israel. What is frightening about that is Turkey has the largest and most powerful army in the region. Though it was actions by Germany and France that were mostly the cause of this reversal, Obama's reversal has certainly not helped.

The anti-semitic attitudes of Barack Obama and his followers are permeating the entire Democrat Party. These attitudes are subtle and the people exhibiting them are outraged when you point them out. You will find few who will acknowledge what they are saying and doing is anti-semitic. It is also true that if you read the MSM in America, the degree of risk that American anti-semitism will lead to active war in the Middle East is ignored. That makes it easier for these attitudes to fester as the people who have them don't think it is a big deal.

That does not mean war is not about to happen. It simply means that you cannot trust anything the MSM writes on the subject.

Boldly Going Nowhere

Nasa ends plan to put man back on Moon

by Jacqui Goddard - June 14th, 2010 - London Times

Nasa has begun to wind down construction of the rockets and spacecraft that were to have taken astronauts back to the Moon — effectively dismantling the US human spaceflight programme despite a congressional ban on its doing so.

Legislators have accused President Obama’s Administration of contriving to slip the termination of the Constellation programme through the back door to avoid a battle on Capitol Hill.

Absolutely nothing of national greatness will be permitted as long as Barack Obama, the America hating racist bigot remains as our President.

Congress does not agree with him? Barack Obama could care less. He simply goes forward with his plans to destroy another American institution with disdain for what anyone else thinks. With his arrogant dismissal of citizen concerns over Obamacare passage, why would anyone think Congress rates any consideration either?

Long Hot Summer Begins
- Congressman Attacks Student

by Mike Flynn - June 14th, 2010 - Big Government

Last week, Democrat Congressman Bod Etheridge (D-NC2) attended a fundraiser headlined by Speaker Nancy Pelosi. He was asked by some students on the street whether he supported the “Obama Agenda.” He didn’t take it well.

Go to article here to see the video.

Expect more of this. The hard, progressive left captured the Democrat majority in Congress and forced them to enact a fantasy grab-bag of legislation that is increasingly unpopular with the American public. We’re on the cusp of a deeper recession, millions of unemployed Americans have no prospect for work, taxes are about to spike higher and we’ve maxed out the national credit card. The Democrats were given a chance to run government and they’ve only succeeded in running it into the ground.

So, yeah, Democrats who are up for reelection this November are a bit testy.

This Raleigh area congressman was merely taking his cues from the Greesboro area Democrat who recently attacked former congressional candidate Nathan Tabor. Nathan was assaulted for protecting his wife at a TEA Party rally.

Check out the article on that attack at
Obama Supporter Assaults Tea Party Protester. Video of the attack on Nathan has been saved at the following link here. The individual who attacked Nathan is a well known agitator named Governor Spencer. Spencer is a union organizer, a socialist and a black liberation activist. After charges had been filed by one magistrate, another magistrate voided the charges and issued a summons against Nathan to answer charges of assualt. The second magistrate was black and appeared to be a friend of Spencer.

Have Democrats gone bonkers? Sure seems like it.

Action - Not Words

I continuously get nasty emails about my use of the term "naive buffoon" to describe the Magic Marxist Messiah, yet I feel it is well justified. As an example take the incompetence he has shown in foreign affairs. His appeasement positions have been disasters. It is all about words and talking. It is not actions that matter to Obama.

Another example is the recent disaster in the gulf oil spill. From day one Obama has been busy making political points when action was needed. Some of those actions would have been to forget about who was at fault and protect our coast. That hasn't happened and never will.

How many people are aware that 13 countries sent boats that could pump up the oil and either burn it off, store it, or treat it with molecules that would render it harmless? They were sent to America to help control the disaster. NOT ONE was allowed to help the gulf coast avoid the consequences of the oil spill. Why? Because Barack Obama cares more about rules to protect his union buddies. There is a law called the Jones Act that makes it illegal for boats not staffed with union workers from the local union to "work" in coastal waters. Bush waived the Jones Act immediately during Kristina so foreign vessels could help with the disaster. To date Obama still refuses to allow these vessels to do anything to help. They sit there unused. Wasted. It would annoy his political supporters in the unions to allow them to help. Plus he really doesn't seem to care about anything except making sure he is not blamed.

When local officials wanted to build sand berms to protect fragile ecosystems, the Army Corps of Engineers insisted that they had to do an environmental study before they could allow this. Obama again could not be bothered to waive the regulations and get the berms built. A month passed and it became moot as the oil surged into the fragile coastal areas. Obama would not waive the rules for a simple reason. It would annoy his political supporters in the environmental movement. Plus he really doesn't seem to care about anything except making sure he is not blamed.

A major manufacturer of oil booms located in Maine can provide millions of yards of such booms, much ready to go and huge inventories of raw materials to produce as much as needed. They could have had a major effect on corralling the oil and keeping it from the coast line. Obama will not allow the federal funds available for such crisis mitigation to be spent. Obama officials insist that it is not important that the coast be protected. It is important that BP be made to take these acts on their own and that BP follow "testing" procedures for any booms they use. Plus Obama really doesn't seem to care about anything except making sure he is not blamed.

Obama has not done anything to indicate he truly wants to reduce the impact of the disaster. For him it is not action. It is words. He has already started campaigning for the Cap-and-tax bill that was originally justified on the nonsense of global warming. That bill was dead until the new strategy became clear. Pass it to protect against big-oil and their horrible oil spill disasters. Forget whether the disaster is bigger than it should be because Obama did nothing. Obama really doesn't seem to care about anything except making sure he is not blamed.

Obama is still following the game plan of Cloward-Piven. If you have not heard of these two socialist professors and their plan to destroy America, you better read fast. Pretty soon it will be too late and America will no longer exist. Obama is a master at following their strategy. It is their strategy he is following by not taking action in the gulf oil spill. Let the problem fester so the people look to government to save them. Yeah. That will work.

This Job, Too, Is Beneath Obama

by Mark Steyn - June 11th, 2010 - Orange County Register

A man who speaks fewer languages than the famously moronic George W Bush, [Obama] has nevertheless grasped the essential lingo of the European transnationalist: Continental leaders strike attitudes rather than effect action – which is, frankly, beneath them. One thinks of the insistence a few years ago by Louis Michel, then the Belgian foreign minister, that the so-called European Rapid Reaction Force "must declare itself operational without such a declaration being based on any true capability." As even the Washington Post drily remarked, "Apparently in Europe this works."

Apparently. Thus, Barack Obama: He declared himself operational without such a declaration being based on any true capability. But, if it works for the EU, why not America? Like many of his background here and there, Obama is engaged mostly by abstractions and generalities. Indeed, he is the very model of a modern major generalist. He has grand plans for "the environment" – all of it, wherever it may be. Why should the great eco-Gulliver be ensnared by some Lilliputian oil spill lapping round his boots?

Transnationalist. Yes. That seems to label Obama rather accurately. Actually I think that Steyn may have summed Obama up better than most have been able to with that one word. Obama is not American. He is a transnationalist. He loves America as a part of the greater humanity. He is only disappointed he has to pretend to care about America as anything other than a part of something more important. That sums Obama up perfectly.

The best line in the article though is; "There are millions of people like Barack Obama, the eternal students of a vast lethargic transnational campus for whom global compassion and the multicultural pose are merely the modish gloss on a cult of radical grandiose narcissism."

That perfectly describes a couple of people in my own family. Steyn, as usual, is on a roll!

Israel Is 'Doomed'

Iran's Ahmadinejad says Israel is 'doomed'

by D'Arcy Doran - June 11th, 2010 - AFP

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Friday Israel was "doomed" and singled out US President Barack Obama for scorn, blaming Washington for orchestrating new nuclear sanctions against Tehran.

Speaking during a visit to the World Expo in Shanghai, Ahmadinejad denounced the UN Security Council's sanctions resolution adopted Wednesday with Chinese and Russian backing as "worthless paper".

The firebrand leader accused global nuclear powers of "monopolising" atomic technology and said the new sanctions would "have no effect" -- reserving most of his tough rhetoric for the United States, not his ally Beijing.

Swatting aside the US leader's offers of dialogue and rapprochement if Iran relents on its nuclear ambitions, Ahmadinejad said: "I think President Obama has made a big mistake... he knows the resolution will have no effect."

Barack Obama has made a serious mistake. His extremist delusion that America is the problem in the world was based on his socialist rhetoric. The "America is the evil in the world" mantra that he and his left wing friends constantly tell each other is not based on any semblance of reality. However they tell each other again and again how it is America's refusal to be "reasonable" that causes other nation's and their leaders to hate us. They have come to believe it.

Now that Obama is trying to practice this humble, "can't we all just get along", naive idiocy, leaders like Ahmadinejad are insulting Obama (and America) more often than before. They see him as gutless and whining. They do not believe he is to be feared. They believe they can do anything and Obama will sit idly by trying to figure out why they don't love his narcissistic role of "greatest man in the world". They see him trying to REDUCE the already weakened sanctions on Iran and block Senate demands that he stand up to Ahmadinejad and they laugh at him. He has become a world joke.

In the meantime, Israel sits there knowing that as soon as Iran has nuclear weapons, Israel will cease to exist unless they are willing to use their own nuclear bombs. Even if they do use them defensively, the Middle East will be a nuclear wasteland before it is over. Thanks a lot Obama. Read a little history. Appeasement never works.

Barack Obama Announces $400m
Aid Package To Gaza And West Bank

by Harriet Sherwood - June 9th, 2010 - London Guardian

President Barack Obama said today the US would send $400m of aid to the Palestinian territories following 10 days of international focus on Gaza, which Israel has blockaded for more than three years.

The announcement came as Obama met the Palestinian president, Mahmoud Abbas, in Washington to discuss the progress of proximity talks between Israel and the Palestinians, as well as the dire situation in Gaza. Most US aid currently goes to the West Bank. The international community has largely focused on building up Abbas's authority over recent years, and Gaza, whose de facto Hamas government is not recognised by the US or the UK, has been marginalised.

This is on top of anther $800 million in aid to the Palestinians only recently approved by Barack Obama and our Democrat congress. Our non-Muslim President seems to find it reasonable to send aid to Muslim terrorist groups even though they have not given any indication they will stop diverting this aid to their war against Israel.

This is consistent with his belief that we should talk to terrorists and evil governments. He is simply making it easier to talk with them by giving them aid from the American tax payer while requiring no action on their part to cease their violence against citizens in Israel. It is not consistent with his refusal to talk with the President of BP who he obviously considers to be significantly more evil than Hamas.

Over a billion dollars of American tax payer money has now gone to fund the war against Israel. Think the Israelis recognize that America is now funding their enemy?

The Transformative Power
Of Rick Santelli’s Rant

by Michael Barone - June 10th, 2010 - National Review

How to explain something contrary to the New Deal historians’ teaching that economic distress increases support for big government? Clues can be obtained, I think, by examining what amounts to the founding document of the tea-party movement, Rick Santelli’s “rant” on the CME trading floor in Chicago, telecast live by CNBC on Feb. 19, 2009.

That was less than one month into the Obama administration. The stimulus package had been jammed through Congress almost entirely by Democratic votes six days before, but the Democrats’ health-care and cap-and-trade bills were barely into gestation. Chrysler and General Motor had received temporary bailouts, but their bankruptcies were months in the future.

“The government is promoting bad behavior,” Santelli began. The object of his scorn was the Obama administration’s Homeowners Affordability and Stability Plan providing aid to homeowners delinquent on their mortgages.

“This is America!” Santelli declared. “How many of you people want to pay for your neighbor’s mortgage that has an extra bathroom and can’t pay their bills?”

Granted, the words are not as elegant as those of Thomas Jefferson or John Adams. But the thought is clear. Santelli was arguing that the people who, in Bill Clinton’s felicitous phrase, “work hard and play by the rules” shouldn’t have to subsidize those who took on debts that they couldn’t repay.

Throughout 2006 and 2008 our nation was struggling with a serious disconnect. Our President constantly proclaimed himself a "conservative', or at least a version that he called "compassionate conservative", yet his actions on domestic issues was nothing but progressive. He supported Keynesian economics, huge deficits, pork larded funding bills, entangling religion with government as he permitted grants to churches as if they were normal non profit agencies, wasting federal money for a failed and failing education system dominated by education unions, bailouts to huge banks, insurance companies and Detroit, etc. ad nausea.

Since he was the leader of the "conservative" party we were told to shut up and go along. His alignment with and sellout to Democrats was a necessity to get things done. Yet all his actions did was weaken our party, confuse the base, anger true conservatives and leave us with a disastrous 2008 election that placed extremists on the left in power everywhere.

The pressure to explode at the stupid direction of our nation was building long before Rick Santelli gave voice to the anger. Yet Santelli's timing was immaculate and his complaints were perfectly in tune with the bubbling rage. Like a genius he pointed us to the path back to a free nation. He gave us a voice that broke through the liberal lies. Millions said, enough is enough. Let's take back our nation before it is too late.

Rick Santelli is still giving voice to our frustration with those who do not understand that freedom is never easy. A large element of America wants to live on easy street. They want to live off "other people's money". This fall we are going to find out if this surge to the left that Obama has supported is a permanent move, or just a fluke due to the incompetence and deceit of the conservative who never was conservative.

Rick Santelli was not just a repudiation of Barack Obama. He was equally a repudiation of George W. Bush. How ironic that Bush's favorite Senator, Arlen Specter, has left the Republican Party and now been flushed from public office. I think that his support for Specter typifies how out of touch with the Republican Party George W. Bush had become.

The Alien In The White House

by Dorothy Rabinowitz - June 9th, 2010 - Wall Street Journal

The beliefs and attitudes that this president has internalized are to be found everywhere—in the salons of the left the world over—and, above all, in the academic establishment, stuffed with tenured radicals and their political progeny. The places where it is held as revealed truth that the United States is now, and has been throughout its history, the chief engine of injustice and oppression in the world.

They are attitudes to be found everywhere, but never before in a president of the United States. Mr. Obama may not hold all, or the more extreme, of these views. But there can be no doubt by now of the influences that have shaped him. They account for his grand apology tour through the capitals of Europe and to the Muslim world, during which he decried America's moral failures—her arrogance, insensitivity. They were the words of a man to whom reasons for American guilt came naturally. Americans were shocked by this behavior in their newly elected president. But he was telling them something from those lecterns in foreign lands—something about his distant relation to the country he was about to lead.

The truth about that distance is now sinking in, which is all to the good. A country governed by leaders too principled to speak the name of its mortal enemy needs every infusion of reality it can get.

This concluding summary of Rabinowitz's article is actually everything the article needed to say. It will not impress those who are still deluded by this naive amateur America has placed in the most powerful position in the world. We have an electorate who believes his deceitful rhetoric. How frightening is that?

Porous Border Opens Door
For Mexican Drug Cartels

by Senator John Cornyn - June 7th, 2010 - Washington Examiner

Just last year, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano testified before a Senate panel that Mexican drug cartels were operating in as many as 230 American cities. During her testimony, she claimed that cartels are the greatest organized crime threat to the United States.

The federal government’s refusal to secure the border has enabled Mexican cartels to operate across America

The reality is that this is the most open armed invasion ever attempted by a non governmental agency. However, though the cartels are at war with the government of Mexico, these two powers collaborate for their own reasons in subverting the American border. Both of these powers, the cartels and the Mexican government, gain huge revenue from the ongoing invasion. Both powers are also aligned with La Raza, the anti-American spy and propaganda agency for both organizations.

All three of these, La Raza, the Mexican government and the drug cartels, openly express contempt for America and wage war to subvert our national sovereign power. All three are campaigning for the end of the border so that Mexicans can freely invade us for the intent of destroying our nation. Step one is to get our nation to grant legal status to the current 12 million invaders.

If we do this, our nation is insane. This is war. Yet neither political party in America understands this.

Those Troublesome Jews

by Charles Krauthammer - June 4th, 2010 - The Washington Post

The world is outraged at Israel's blockade of Gaza. Turkey denounces its illegality, inhumanity, barbarity, etc. The usual U.N. suspects, Third World and European, join in. The Obama administration dithers.

But as Leslie Gelb, former president of the Council on Foreign Relations, writes, the blockade is not just perfectly rational, it is perfectly legal. Gaza under Hamas is a self-declared enemy of Israel -- a declaration backed up by more than 4,000 rockets fired at Israeli civilian territory. Yet having pledged itself to unceasing belligerency, Hamas claims victimhood when Israel imposes a blockade to prevent Hamas from arming itself with still more rockets.

What most seem to be oblivious to is the next step that will clearly happen after Israel is destroyed. Our obsequious acceptance of Israeli destruction will not be viewed favorably by the Islamofascists who are leading the drive to obliterate Israel. It will be seen as an act of weakness and encourage the war to create the new caliphate that Islamofascists proclaim is their ultimate goal. World domination by this caliphate is not a delusion if people are willing to die to see it come to pass. As Hitler proved, trying to dominate the world can be nearly as catastrophic as succeeding. They are going to try.

It is therefore clear that the next target of the Islamofascists will be America. If Obama is willing to surrender, something I am not sure he would not try to do, then we might avoid a nuclear holocaust. The cost would be a forced national conversion to Islam as our national religion. If we don't surrender, nuclear bombs will be exploded in many of our major cities. As previous signs have shown, the first three will likely be Washington, New York and Chicago.

I wonder what Obama is going to say the day after Chicago is bombed? Or if he will even care? This narcissist has already shown he is perfectly willing to throw anyone under the bus for his own personal success. I doubt an entire city of millions will be of much greater concern.

On this anniversary of Ronald Reagan's death, I cannot help but wonder what he would do if he were still President.

Worse Than A Depression

by Monty Pelerin - June 4th, 2010 - American Thinker

We have seen many "impossibles" in the last couple of years. Be prepared for the next -- a hyperinflationary depression. It is not impossible, it is not an oxymoron, and it should surprise no thinking economist. It is nearly upon us.

Your lifestyle will depend on how prepared you are to meet this newest, biggest, and most horrific Black Swan. This beast will destroy economies, overthrow some governments, and alter the nature of the world.

In a nation with intractable unemployment, hyperinflation is going to create a pressure for blood in the streets. When people cannot feed themselves or their families, the illusion of civilization will be stripped away in very short order. Some of the possible scenarios? Generational war. Race war. City-versus-rural war. Rich-versus-poor war.

With little warning your best friend could become your worst enemy. People who voted for the unrealistic phenomenon of Barack Obama were merely hoping against hope that someone could make the real world go away and keep the dream of socialism alive. America has been burning the candle at both ends for so long, only the Obama delusion could keep it going for a while longer. Reality had nothing to do with it.

The Danger Of A Government
With Unlimited Power

by George F. Will - June 3rd, 2010 - Washington Post

Today, government finds the limitless power of dispensing not in Madison's Constitution of limited government but in Wilson's theory that the Constitution actually frees government from limitations. The liberating -- for government -- idea is that the Constitution is a "living," evolving document. Wilson's Constitution is an emancipation proclamation for government, empowering it to regulate all human activities in order to treat all human desires as needs and hence as rights. Unlimited power is entailed by what Voegeli calls government's "right to discover new rights."

"Liberalism's protean understanding of rights," he says, "complicates and ultimately dooms the idea of a principled refusal to elevate any benefit that we would like people to enjoy to the status of an inviolable right." Needs breed rights to have the needs addressed, to the point that Lyndon Johnson, an FDR protege, promised that government would provide Americans with "purpose" and "meaning."

What I find ironic is the pretentious belief by progressives that this is somehow something new and original. In truth, every single evil government going back to the time of kings, or even further back to the time of tribal chiefs, was established with the idea that the purpose of government was to rule so that everyone got their fair share. Yet no matter what premise was used to justify the power, those who got power found that they deserved a bigger share and they could take whatever they wanted. Soon the rich could not provide enough for the rulers to meet all needs and they would then take from the middle class. Soon they would take from the poor. This was not based on the concept of their creating more wealth but in the importance of the rulers being fairly compensated for their superior power.

Progressive, or more accurately socialist, ideology is no different. Those who wish to govern delude themselves as much as they delude the suckers who put them in to power. Or at least they pretend to. The truth is that evil starts as soon as the rulers find out that they have run out of "other people's money".

Obama's 'Chicago Way'
Plunders The Private Sector

by Michael Barone - June 2nd, 2010 - Washington Examiner

Obama could not have risen so far so fast without a profound understanding of the Chicago Way. And he has brought the Chicago Way to the White House.

One prime assumption of the Chicago Way is that there will always be a bounteous private sector that politicians can plunder endlessly. Chicago was America's boom town from 1860 to 1900, growing from nothing to the center of the nation's railroad network, the key nexus between farm and factory, the headquarters of great retailers and national trade associations.

The Mayors Daley have maintained Chicago's centrality in commerce by building and expanding O'Hare International Airport and by fostering a culture of crony capitalism with the city's big employers and labor unions. Chicago survived the Depression and recessions to thrive once again. Sure, small businesses and some outfits lacking political connections fell by the wayside. But the system seems to go on forever.

So it's natural for a Chicago Way president to assume that higher taxes and a hugely expensive health care regime will not make a perceptible dent in the nation's private sector economy. There will always be plenty to plunder

The Chicago Way and the willingness of those who succeed in free enterprise to become a part of the socialist machine and "go along" with the Chicago way, reminds me of Nikita Kruschev and his famous repeat of Lenin's quote, "Capitalists will sell us the rope with which we will hang them."

It appears that here in America, that prediction is coming true.

Obama Doesn’t Have A Clue

by Dick Morris - June 1st, 2010 - The Hill

Conservatives may dislike Obama because he is a leftist. But liberals are coming to dislike him because he is not a competent progressive.

Meanwhile, the nation watches nervously as the same policies Obama has brought to our nation are failing badly and publicly in Europe. When Moody’s announces that it is considering downgrading bonds issued by the government of the United States of America, we find ourselves, suddenly, in deep trouble. We have had deficits before. But never have they so freaked investors that a ratings agency considered lowering its opinion of our solvency.

The real question is what happens after the November elections?

I think at this point Republicans will take at least one of the two houses of congress. However what they do with that power is still in question. There is no agreement among Republicans on what kind of job George W. Bush performed, much less what we do to move forward. Bush abused executive privilege with the same arrogance of Barack Obama. In fact, Obama is truly following in Bush's steps in his use of Presidential edicts to write new laws, totally ignoring the legislature. Bush ran up deficits that appeared huge at the time, and only in retrospect to the much worse deficits of Obama do they not seem outrageous. Bush promoted wasteful government stimulus and Wall Street bailouts with indifference to the consequences for our nation. Yet most of the Republicans in congress went along with the rape of our finances under Bush. They were not then, nor are they now, outraged at Bush's progressive domestic agenda. Will they go along with Obama if he sprinkles a little Republican pork into his massive funding bills?

Calvin Coolidge proved during the extreme recession of 1920 how quickly you can turn around a nation if you believe in free enterprise and cut back government with a vengeance. His acts led to the roaring 20s and the greatest boom time in our nation's history. Yet most Republicans react to his prescription for turning our nation around with horror. There is no political will because most elected officials do not understand free enterprise or economics at all. Nor is there an ounce of political courage among most of the Republicans who get elected.

We are staring at a truly horrible future. Only some in the TEA Parties seem to get it.

The Obama Doctrine

Marching That Long Gray Line Into A Gray Fog

by Ken Blackwell - May 31st, 2010 - Big Government

What is the state of our alliance with Great Britain today? Obama famously stiffed Prime Minister Gordon Brown, denying him not only a State Dinner, but even a joint press conference. Similarly, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was whisked around Washington, D.C. in a sealed limousine with motorcycle escort. If it were not for the Israeli flag bravely waving from the hood of his automobile, you might have thought he was a captured terrorist. How do the Poles and Czechs feel about Obama’s “steadfastness?” He vetoed their anti-missile defense systems without so much as a Rose Garden sendoff. He sent Hillary Clinton to Ottawa, where she insulted Prime Minister Harper’s Conservative government in its own capital. But he made up for it when he invited Mexico’s Felipe Calderon to come to Washington to insult us in our own capital.

Strengthening old alliances? How about shredding them? He stood by while Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan and Brazil’s President Lula da Silva dealt with Iran’s murderous mullahs...

The Barack Obama speech at West Point is a fatuous explanation of all of his mistaken ideas that are destroying the nation we once knew. Obama actually brags about subordinating our government to global alliances, destroying free enterprise with the claim of fixing it, and limiting our own power so we are dependent on others as the way to strengthen us. No one understands what Obama means because his words are flowing and rapturous yet so subject to double meanings.

What we now must fear is that we will not be able to remove him from office before he permanently destroys everything that we hold dear. That includes the freedom that was bought with the death of so many who preceded the officers at West Point to whom he was speaking. I wonder what they were thinking as he expressed these inane thoughts.
