Obama Impeachment? Go Ahead. Make My Day.

by Dean Stephens - October 29th, 2010

Barack Obama has traditionally done things in a different fashion than those who came before. His campaign for the Presidency was unique, as he refused to say anything specific about what his plans were for governing. He talked in grandiose terms about change, bipartisanship, hope…

Those days of grandiose terms are over. Doing things differently is not though. This year Obama is demonizing his opponents, talking about how everyone who opposes him is evil. He still talks in vague terms about cars in ditches without addressing the specifics of what caused the economic downturn we all face. He blames all of his problems on others, even though no downturns have lasted this long before… except for the single downturn during the great depression where the same progressive solutions were tried for a decade and never fixed the problem. Obama is failing but he insists it is not his fault.

Obama does not seem to realize that it is not just his supporters who hear him say with his cool disdain that anyone who opposes him is an "enemy". No President in history has used such harsh terms to describe those he disagrees with. Obama is not using these words against the people running against Democrats. Mud-slinging attack ads against candidates are fairly common. Obama makes it clear he means these insults for the voters who are against him. He is going after Republican voters and Tea Party voters and Independent voters... castigating them all. He is even castigating his own supporters for not being sufficiently energized. He is demonizing everyone. Americans are not used to this. This is not how things are done.

Then again Obama is threatening a number of actions that have never been tried before in our nation. After his cap-and-tax bill failed in the Senate, Obama insisted that he could do it anyway by use of Executive Orders to allow the EPA to regulate CO2. The courts blocked this. However Obama has made it clear he will ignore the courts. This is not how things are done.

Obama is also threatening to use the National Labor Relations Board to implement the illegal practice of 'card check', where secret ballots are abandoned and unions are allowed to represent employees through blackmail, coercion and threats. No law has been passed to allow this. Once again Obama claims he will legislate through Executive Orders. This is not how things are done.

The anger that results cannot be blamed on the people who are reacting to his words. Obama is the one who is creating the conflict by violating the rules of decorum that have been traditional in our prior elections. He is even violating the processes that have been deemed legal for creating new laws. This anger is not going away. The response has been a growing desire to block Obama’s efforts.

There have been a number of articles recently advocating Obama's impeachment, and the rage that is behind them cannot be dismissed. A very large number of people are outraged at him. Some believe that is exactly what Obama wants. They believe his insults to voters are planned to inspire this outrage.

I am opposed to impeaching Obama unless he takes some action that is clearly illegal. I am not convinced he has done that yet, though some of his actions sure come close. However there are a number of people like me who are ready to join those calling for impeachment if Obama steps over the line with the actions listed above. We are watching and waiting. It is sort of like the Dirty Harry movies. Our position on impeachment is simple. "Go ahead. Make my day."

Obstructionism Reaps Its Reward

by Patrick J. Buchanan - October 28th, 2010 - World Net Daily

Both parties have lost the mandate of heaven, and neither knows if its economic philosophy even works anymore.

We are in uncharted waters. The country is up for grabs.

Patrick Buchanan is not a politician I agree with on most issues. However he keeps writing articles that accurately summarize our history and accurately summarize our current condition. So as a writer, I admire him. This time he does not propose a solution. He simply ends his article criticizing Republican obstructionism and Democrat socialism with the rather hopeless words shown above.

I have some thoughts on the reason his first sentence is right. Neither party knows if its economic philosophy works anymore because both have been corrupted by Wall Street to modify their conventional thinking to embrace government loans, bailouts, special interest legislation, earmarks that are nothing but payoffs for bribes and excessive federal regulation designed to crush small business so only big corporations can afford to exist. The corruption is unbelievable. Both parties have been so intertwined in the corruption that they cannot break free of it.

It saddens me that Buchanan seems to have given up proposing any solutions. He is not shy. That even Buchanan has recognized we are in uncharted waters is scary since neither the Democrats or the Republicans have even gotten that far. They are still busy conducting business as usual.

The horrible pro-socialist legislation passed during the first two years of Obama's administration should be repealed, but Wall Street and K-Street are already lining up to assure that no political will can be found to allow that to happen. The alignment of interests of the two most corrupt groups in America is frightening. And our representatives continue to sell us out.

Tea Party Movement Is A Game-Changer

by Scott S. Powell) - October 26th, 2010 - Investor's Business Daily

Tea Party activists not only have tax-borrow-and-spend liberals in their sights. They are equally fed up with country-club Republicans who have enabled large corporations — such as General Electric and Goldman Sachs — to game the system and obtain loan guarantees and preferential treatment.

Titans of finance and industry need to recognize that competitive free markets always provide more reliable and abundant prosperity than the rigged game of corporatism and liberal fascism built on ever-shifting political sands. For too long, silence has been consent. Corporate leaders need to speak out and defend the system that produces wealth and upward mobility.

The leadership of the Republican Party seems oblivious to the causes of our current economic problems. They badly want the money that Wall Street kleptocrats grudgingly disburse to go to them instead of the Democrats. They cannot see the corruption that loans, bailouts, special contracts and corporate welfare have created to subvert free enterprise. Wall Street wants a good return on their bribes. The Republican Party ledership cannot see the difference between bribes for special favors for the payor and contributions to defend the free enterprise system. Let me rephrase. They either cannot see it or they willfully ignore it.

It is absolutely critical to the future success of the Tea Party movement and to the Republican Party that they return to support for free enterprise and abandon Wall Street. They must end the current corporate socialism that the Democrats and Wall Street have created. The current system is corrupt. Recent Republican leaders like George W. Bush and Dennis Hastert did nothing to return our system to free enterprise. They simply argued that Republicans would be less corrupt and run the big government corporate socialism more efficiently. They seem oblvious to the reality that socialism is always corrupt. The Tea Party movement doesn't want more efficient corruption. We want the corruption ended.

Radical In The White House

Interview of Stanley Kurtz by Kathryn Jean Lopez - October 28th, 2010 - National Review Online

Stanley Kurtz - "I argue in the book that Obama isn’t in quite as hopeless a position as he may seem to be right now. Obama has adopted a high-risk strategy. His long-term goal is to polarize the parties along class lines, thereby driving the country substantially to the left. He’s taking big chances to get there, but there is a plausible long-term scenario for success....I also think Obama is ready for slow trench warfare with a Republican Congress. To prepare for that, he first needed to get in place programs the Republicans would try to repeal. Out of that polarizing battle, Obama hopes to jump-start a movement of have-nots angry about efforts to peel back their new entitlements. He may fail, but that is his long-term play."

I will have further comments to come on this very long and very intriguing article. Kurtz has an extremely important viewpoint and his research on Obama is valuable. One quote from the interview sums up my initial response, "A Republican victory next week does not decide the question. It only sets up the larger battle Obama has been planning all along. We don’t yet know who will win."

This has been my view for a long time as numerous posts will attest. What happens on November 2nd is just the opening shots in a huge battle in a generation long war. The winner will not be decided until we really know which side has the most determination.

Singer Gloria Estefan Hosts Obama,
Turns Back On Cuba

by Victoria Jackson (”Saturday Night Live” cast member 1986-1992) - October 26th, 2010 - Big Hollywood

So, I’m sitting in my local diner staring at a pair of gorgeous breasts that are hovering over my husband’s face as the twenty year old waitress takes our lunch order. She purrs, “Ready?” I think she just winked at him. He pretends not to notice. I am in the middle of a good story about my wonderful, recent trip to the AZ Freedom Rally II.

Now this is amazing. More and more of the people in Hollywood are waking up to the potential for their lives to be controlled by government, and they don't like it. This article is by a woman that almost everyone who ever watched SNL knows, Victoria Jackson. She has joined the Tea Party movement and really shocked a bunch of her friends in Hollywood. Never active in politics, she has become active in the Tea Party because of the crisis we find in our nation. In this article she quotes a letter she sent to Gloria Estafan ridiculing Estafan's support for Barack Obama in light of her family having to flee Cuba due to the communists. The letter includes the following rather dramatic listing of the case for calling Obama a communist.

1. His parents were communists. His grandparents were communists. His childhood mentor Frank Davis was a communist.
2. He had “Marxist professors.” He taught a class on Saul Alinsky whose book “Rules for Radicals” is dedicated to Lucifer.
3. His college records are sealed.
4. He claims to be a Christian yet ridicules Scripture, denies Jesus is the only way to salvation, supports partial-birth abortion and attended a church for 20 years pastored by Rev. Jeremiah Wright, who did not teach Christianity but “Black Liberation Theology,” which is Marxism disguised as religion.
5. He is friends with radicals and communists like William Ayers and has appointed many of them to positions of power – Sunstein, Jarrett, Van Jones, etc.
6. He told Joe the Plumber on the campaign trail that his philosophy was to “spread the wealth.” This is a direct quote from “The Communist Manifesto” written by Karl Marx and Fredrich Engels.
7. When he entered office he immediately took over the banks, the auto industry, health care (by bribery) and is intent on ending freedom of speech on the Internet, radio and TV by fees and fines. He is intent on using the myth of human-caused global warming to usurp control over our energy by Cap ‘n Tax, which would limit the number of minutes we take a shower and the kind of light bulbs we use.
8. His arrogant, excessive spending, with his stimulus laws and over-taxation, is destroying our economy, the middle class and our children’s future quality of life.

Why is it that so many Obama supporters want to bury this Obama history. None are willing to address it, other than to say, "It doesn't prove anything." Actually it does. It proves Obama is a communist, and anyone who dismisses the charge is a communitst too. When it wakes up a former liberal Hollywood star to the crisis we face, you would think that it would at least be dealt with a little more seriously by the average Democrat who doesn't really believe in the communist doctrines Obama keeps touting.

Bernanke Asset Purchases Risk
Unleashing 1970s Inflation Genie

by Craig Torres - October 26th, 2010 - Bloomberg News

The U.S. Treasury Department yesterday sold $10 billion of five-year Treasury Inflation Protected Securities at a negative yield for the first time at a U.S. debt auction as investors bet the Fed will be successful in sparking inflation.

Bernanke is gambling with our future and no one in the Obama administration seems to care. There is a reason that our nation has never done this before. It is the equivalent of a gambler going all-in. If it is your own money, that may be a rational bet. When it is the nation's money, I question the morality of Bernanke's judgement. I question the ethics of any administration doing things that are immoral for the nation just because they may help investors. Taken to its absurdity, we get Zimbabwe.

Of course I have despised Bernanke since he and Paulson persuaded George W. Bush to bailout all the losers on Wall Street as the "ONLY way to save free enteprise." Yet Bernanke himself has been a crony capitlist who destroys free enterprise his entire career. Some may trust him. I do not.

President Obama Heads Into Midterms
At Lowest Approval Rating Of Presidency

by Staff - October 25th, 2010 - Harris Interactive

President Obama is spending the next week crisscrossing the country in support of Democratic candidates before this year's midterm elections. While the president may do a great job of energizing the base, he may not be able to convert any Independents who have yet to decide for whom they will vote. Currently, two-thirds of Americans (67%) have a negative opinion of the job President Obama is doing while just over one-third (37%) have a positive opinion. This continues the president's downward trend and he is now at the lowest job approval rating of his presidency

What I find curious is the mathematical impossibility of 37% having a positive opinion of Obama if 67% have a negative opinion. However that probably means some extra voters were counted ala typical Democrat voter fraud. Another blogger, 'dabigguy', came up with the very best response to Obama's plunging popularity, "At this rate, Zero could be the first president evah to lose all 57 states."

A Society of Beggars?
Obama Battles Reagan

by Jeffrey Lord - October 26th, 2010 - The American Spectator

Obama and Reagan have become the face of each side's arguments in 2010, the personification of the now furious struggle between statism -- the supremacy of the state, as Mark Levin succinctly describes the goal of the left in Liberty and Tyranny -- and individual freedom and liberty.

The New York Times says that "Washington is on the brink of a substantial shift in the balance of power." Poll after poll after poll indicates the GOP is in some fashion on the edge of a tidal wave sweeping the country.

Which is to say Reagan is poised to beat Obama.

The Tea Party movement has one thing going for it that Republicans did not. The people in the Tea Party are far more oriented to the idea of government leaving them alone. They are overwhelmingly people who had little to do with politics because they just wanted to live their lives. They have reacted viscerally to the reality that government will not leave them alone unless they demand that government leave them alone. This demand is done by electing people to public office who accept that the role of government must be - not to do for people - but to leave them alone to do for themselves and their neighbors as they see fit. Freedom. Individual liberty. That is the power behind this movement that is revolutionizing politics. The Tea Party is the real party of NO! It is the party of militant 'leave me alone'! I don't think either the Democrats or the 'go along to get along' wimps in the Republican Party leadership get it yet.

Debt Has Increased $5 Trillion

... Since Speaker Pelosi Vowed,
‘No New Deficit Spending’

by Terence P. Jeffrey - October 25th, 2010 - CNS News

When Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) gave her inaugural address as speaker of the House in 2007, she vowed there would be “no new deficit spending.” Since that day, the national debt has increased by $5 trillion, according to the U.S. Treasury Department.

"After years of historic deficits, this 110th Congress will commit itself to a higher standard: Pay as you go, no new deficit spending,” Pelosi said in her speech from the speaker’s podium. “Our new America will provide unlimited opportunity for future generations, not burden them with mountains of debt."

It is clear that Nancy Pelosi means nothing that she says. She merely says what she thinks will sound good at the time. Not unlike the Democrat elected as President, Barack Obama. Both are smooth talkers who lie with a fluency rarely matched in public life. Actually, when I think about it, they lie more than any two people I have ever heard.

They Hate Our Guts

by P. J. O'Rourke - October 23rd, 2010 - The Weekly Standard

Perhaps you’re having a tiny last minute qualm about voting Republican. Take heart. And take the House and the Senate. Yes, there are a few flakes of dander in the fair tresses of the GOP’s crowning glory—an isolated isolationist or two, a hint of gold buggery, and Christine O’Donnell announcing that she’s not a witch. (I ask you, has Hillary Clinton ever cleared this up?) Fret not over Republican peccadilloes such as the Tea Party finding the single, solitary person in Nevada who couldn’t poll ten to one against Harry Reid. Better to have a few cockeyed mutts running the dog pound than Michael Vick.

An interesting take by a writer who is always interesting even when he is not quite as funny as he should be. I guess this time O'Rourke decided it was better to be right than funny.

I’m Fed Up With The TSA

by Joseph Phillips - October 24th, 2010 - The Daily Caller

I arrived at the Los Angeles Airport more than an hour early. I had made good time on the highway. I wasn’t checking any bags, so with my boarding pass in hand I proceeded to the gate. I was greeted with a security line that was almost an hour long. The line snaked around the terminal, out the door, and stretched down the sidewalk. At the front of the line sat a lone Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officer studiously checking identification with a jeweler’s loupe, the small magnifying glass jewelers use to look for flaws in gemstones.

If anyone wants to know exactly why most government is a horrible idea, they only need look at the mostrous incompetence known as the TSA. Invented by Democrats, and embraced by George W. Bush, this organization uselessly trashes the rights of more people each day than all the Soviet goons used to do in a month. Americans have lost their rights because of their idiocy and a totalitarian desire to "keep the people safe." America used to have some common sense. Today, bureaucrats dominate our lives. They have abandoned common sense in their self righteous adoration of the power of their jobs.

Clinton Speaks To Small Crowd

by Kathleen Gray - October 24th, 2010 - Free Press

Former President Bill Clinton said there is no question that Virg Bernero is the best candidate to be Michigan’s next governor...

Bernero was joined by all the other statewide candidates at the rally. Their message was clear -- don’t be discouraged by the polls that show them trailing Republicans...

While the crowd hoisted signs that stated “Virg Surge,” the turnout at the rally was anemic. More than 500 people came to the rally, but the gym at Renaissance High School was only about one-third full, even though Clinton used to command full houses wherever he went, especially in Detroit.

Interesting that this small paper is talking about what the MSM refuses to notice. The constant refrain that Democrats are closing in and responding to all the efforts of national Democrat leaders to bring the polls back in line, the crowds that used to follow people like Bill Clinton are not turning out this year. You have to ask whether all the 'positive news' is real or just the normal MSM efforts to dictate a progressive outcome?

White House In Crisis

by Wayne Madsen - October 15ht, 2010 - The Intel Hub

Editors Note: If the information in this article is accurate it is extremely important. The fact that Wayne Madsen has shown himself to be a very credible journalist in the past makes this situation all the more intriguing. Stay tuned.

Washington has not witnessed so much top level White House intrigue since October 20, 1973, when a Saturday night saw President Nixon fire the Watergate independent counsel, the U.S. attorney general, and the deputy attorney general in the “Saturday Night Massacre.” Just ten days earlier, Vice President Spiro Agnew resigned after being charged with accepting bribes while governor of Maryland.

In the case of President Obama, the senior firings are not happening during a single night but the recent involuntary sudden departures of the White House chief of staff and national security adviser, along with what WMR can confirm from multiple sources is a president who is suffering from Nixonian levels of paranoia, depression, and schizophrenia, has some top-level administration officials considering the first-ever invocation of Section 4 of the 25th Amendment — the involuntary removal of the president from office. The White House meltdown has the Washington political circuit buzzing under the surface.

Unlike Watergate and the Iran-contra scandal, however, the corporate media is refusing to report on the breakdown of the Obama administration and the internecine political warfare within the Executive Office of the President.

This article is an incredible list of accusations that will amaze anyone who reads it. I have no personal knowledge of Wayne Madsen or WMR [The Wayne Madsen Report]. Wikipedia calls him a conspiracy theorist, but they call most right wing journalists similar insults or worse. They are after all dominated by left wing radicals who hate Republicans, conservatives, libertarians and the Tea Party movement.

The article itself is fairly long. However if even half of it is true, we could find ourselves in a Constitutional crisis very soon. A few of the amazing things reported include - "... President Obama, who is detached from his duties, and, according to the former White House staffer who is talking... extremely lazy, only interested in watching ESPN and discussing sports, and playing golf, and doing what he is most comfortable at: campaigning. Obama clearly wants to run again for president, citing the 'adoring crowds' who greet him on the political stump."

At different points the article accuses Obama of "severe narcissism", being "the worst President in anyone's lifetime", an "alcoholic", a "CIA creation" and "bisexual" - citing affairs in which the other male participants are named.

There are links within the article to numerous other articles that have not yet been reported by the Main Stream Media containing additional charges that will astound anyone. This needs to be followed if for no other reason to figure out how anyone could make these charges and not have the Democrats denounce them. Supposedly most of this is based on insider information from a 'reliable' administration source (conveniently un-named).

Is it true, an article written as satire - or just idle gossip?

Update - October 27th, 2010 - Latest feeback on these charges - they are coming from someone tied to Lydon LaRouche. Since Iran has picked them up and started touting them, that probably means there is nothing to them. It appears this is not true or written as satire. It appears it is just idle gossip. At least I hope...

Barack And Michelle’s
Mumbai Darshan Plans

by Staff - October 23rd, 2010 - The Economic Times (India)

US President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle will be extremely busy in Mumbai, upon landing on November 6 for a two day India visit. As the world’s most powerful man and his wife zip around the city visiting the 26/11 memorial on Marine Drive, the National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA), Mani Bhawan and other locations in south Mumbai, the security obviously will be water-tight .

Adding to the Obamas’ busy schedule is Michelle’s likely visit to Kamathipura, where she will meet commercial sex workers on the invitation of an NGO...

... The Obamas will stay at the Taj Mahal Hotel, and his itinerary practically means Marine Drive will be shut...

... the President’s team has booked the entire Taj Mahal Hotel, including 570 rooms, all banquets and restaurants...

The most travelled Preident in history continues his lavish world wide vacation at the expense of the American taxpayer. Not content with being the most powerful man in the world, Obama is determined to live like a King for the duration. In furtherance of his goal, Michelle and Barack go forth again on their quest to embarrass America.

It is not just in America that his arrogant presumption is noticed. The term "Darshan" in the title is sarcasm. In Hindu it means "the beholding of an auspicious deity, person, or object." Obama as God? He sure thinks he is.

Serving In The Military Isn’t Public Service

by Barbara Hollingsworth - October 21st, 2010 - The Washington Examiner

Virginia Congressman Jim Moran, [Democrat from the 8th District], doesn’t think serving in the military is public service. At the October 6th meeting of the Arlington County Democratic Committee, Moran was videotaped telling fellow party members:

“What [Republicans] do is find candidates, usually stealth candidates, that haven’t been in office, haven’t served or performed in any kind of public service. My opponent is typical, frankly.”

However, Moran’s opponent happens to be Col. Patrick Murray (US Army-Ret.), who served 24 years in uniform, was deployed to four different combat zones, including Baghdad, as part of the 2007 troop surge under Gen. David Petraeus, and was even shot at by foreign combatants. If that isn’t public service, I don’t know what is.

Who is surprised that Democrats reject military service as public service. They even reject it as admirable service. They have embraced globalism and rejected patriotism. The most important question is whether America has figured this out or not. Last time 52% of our nation did not have a problem with voting for a socialist. This time we will find out whether anything has changed. As has been noted in several articles recently the Democrats are working hard to assure that the military votes do not count in this election.

Breaking News! The Earth Is Warming!
No Wait, It’s Cooling!
No Wait...

by Art Horn & Michael J. Economides - October 20th, 2010 - Tory Media

Warnings of global warming have been with us now for two decades, courtesy of the news media. And surely these respected and long-lived newspapers, magazines and television networks can be trusted to tell us what the current state of the climate is and what it will do?

A least one would think so.

Or more likely not. The article is a masterful recapping of the more than one century of proof that the press is ALWAYS wrong about its climate predictions. In cycle after cycle of the planet cooling and heating the press is nearly a generation late talking about what is happening and usually has only gotten on the doomsday prediction bandwagon after the weather has already changed direction.

That is what they miss. It is weather. Predicting the weather is usually wrong except for really short term predictions.

It is also interesting that the political movement that has always led this chicken little prediction effort is composed of left wing extremist groups. Whether they call themselves progressives or socialists or fascists or communists, using the chicken little process to gain political power is always a left wing strategy. Since the press is also traditionally composed of left wing extremists, it is predictably one of the foremost proponents of these fear mongering tactics. It is only when you track their constant change of directions as the weather changes over time that you realize how ignorant their climate change predictions look.

If you think global warming is real, you are a gullible fool. If you proclaim global warming is real, you are a left wing con artist.

DOJ Goes After Tea Partiers,
Leaves Club-Wielding
Black Panthers Alone

by David Freddoso - October 20th, 2010 - Washington Examiner

Obama’s politicized Justice Department has already lost all credibility when it comes to even-handed administration of justice on this matter. They let the Black Panthers off with one wrist-slap and two complete dismissals after their flagrant voter intimidation was caught on tape. Now they’re worried about poll watchers “talking to voters,” at a time when local Texas officials are preventing people from voting if they are wearing Gadsden Flag pins?

If Obama and the Democrats continue this double standard, there will soon be no ability to rein in those who believe - justice will only be served by a new civil war. Holder and Obama have turned the DOJ into an ultra radical Department of Intimidation.

Comedy Right-of-Central:
What The Tea Party Learned
From The Daily Show

by Lee Siegel - October 19th, 2010 - The New York Observer

"When you meet a contradiction, make a distinction." I've always loved that thought from Thomas Aquinas. Applied to contemporary politics, it means that rather than seeing the Tea Party as the wicked Other, we might consider the ways in which the Tea Party reflects the general atmosphere.

I always love it when left wing writers try to use everyday cultural happenings to prove how correct they are when they mock anyone who disagrees with them.

This article attempts to prove that the Tea Party movement is merely making jokes about what it is unhappy with. In the process the left argues it is under cutting the goodness of left wing governance. The final paragraph argues that the Tea Party is mocking the concept of public education. Not true. The Tea Party is mocking the elitists educators who use public education to subvert the morals and beliefs of the parents whose children they control for most of the day.

There really is a difference. However neither Lee Siegel, nor most on the left, can see the difference. Even starting your article off with a pretentious quote from Thomas Aquinas cannot change that.

NAACP Gets Tea Bag Scare

by Billy House - October 19th, 2010 - National Journal

The NAACP announced on Monday that it would soon be releasing an extensive report detailing links between the tea party movement and various extremist and white supremacist groups.

A few hours later, the group's Washington offices were evacuated because of a suspicious package. The FBI found that it contained a tea bag.

While the package was deemed harmless, the event speaks to some of the tough political tactics being deployed in the runup to the November 2 midterms. The package, in a business-sized envelope, contained no letter or other threatening communication and no return address...

Tough tactics? A tea bag? The tough tactics as usual are coming from the left, not the right

The report from the NAACP is nothing but a list of tenuous links by a few minor activists in the Tea Party movement with groups that themselves have tenuous links with racism in the past. The tea party movement is repeatedly denigrated by the press because it "does not have any national leaders." Yet this movement with no leaders who can be personally denigrated is AGAIN being labelled racist, by a group composed of racists. The best these racists can come up with is "tenuous links" with "tenuous ties" by a few members. What a joke.

The reality is that this threat they claim was sent them, composed of a tea bag, is indicative of the real problem. The NAACP cannot tell the difference between a threat and a tea bag. They also can't tell the difference between opposition to taxes (TEA for taxed enough already) and racism either.

Since they consider that everything in America should be given to them just because they are failures, they see all money belonging to Tea Party members as justifiably theirs. The outrage that anyone should actually interfere with their takeover of American government is the source of their constant insults to anyone who obstructs their agenda. You OWE them. If you doubt this just ask them.

I have a more accurate use for the 'tea bagger' sexual pervert insult frequently hurled by the groups which align with the gay movement where the term originated. A 'tea bagger' is anyone who opposes the tea party movement. The NAACP is not just the most racist group in America. It is also a band of 'tea baggers'. That is where the perverts really reside. So sending them a tea bag is totally justified.

Obama's Bribe-a-thon

by Ed Lasky - October 19th, 2010 - The American Thinker

Barack Obama is facing plummeting popularity and many Democrats are going to be washed away by the coming red tide. What to do when Obama demagoguery and stoking divisiveness and paranoia is no longer working? When insults to the Tea Party and baseless smears against critics being funded by foreigners just don't work anymore? Well there are always bribes -- and those are coming fast and furious.

Are you surprised?

The Adversary President: Obama vs. America

by Nancy Pearcey - October 19th, 2010 - Human Events

... those who marched on the English department are now in the White House, bringing with them the adversary stance they imbibed in the classroom. They disdain ordinary Americans as racists, chauvinists, sexists, xenophobes, homophobes, religious bigots, and fanatical “clingers.”

The adversary culture explains Obama’s self-declared desire to fundamentally change America. It explains the constant apologizing for his own country, the Washington take-over of key industries, the move toward socialized medicine, the 20 year’s acceptance of Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s black liberation theology, with its Marxist rewrite of Christianity.

These are not idiosyncratic views that require psychological explanations involving a father he barely knew (pacé D’Souza).

Three short paragraphs that sum up several discussions that have been raging recently. Though Dinesh D'Souza's argument may explain why Obama joined the adversary culture, I think Nancy Pearcey is correct that the "adversary culture" of the college world more completely describes Obama. It also more completely describes his willingness to abandon anyone who stops serving his cause. Obama is representative of the culture of colleges where politics is petty and nasty and everyone is your enemy even if they share your prejudices.

It also explains his antipathy to free enterprise while using the language of business. He is perfectly willing to work with CEOs when it is convenient. College professors after all make fortunes consulting for big corporations. They even embrace the structure of big business, these same huge corporations, since it has become obvious these entities are comfortable with big government and bureaucracies. That makes big businiess tolerable.

What Obama is not comfortable with is small business and entrepreneurship. College professors have learned these people don't make enough money to pay them huge consulting fees and thus they have no interest at all in their ideas. They want simple answers and Obama is a man of complex explanations for everything.

I have also noted that college professors become enraged if you dare disagree with them. They have come to believe in the world of the classroom that they are kings and have lost the ability to discuss anything with someone who is not subservient.

It looks to me like Pearcey is coming close to identifying the real motivation of Obama. He is representative of a college professor culture that looks down on everything American because we have allowed our colleges to be taken over by our nation's enemies. It reminds me of the famous Shakespeare line, "First we kill all the lawyers." I believe though that line may still suggest the second act of a sane nation, we need to update to, "First we kill all the professors."

No Pilot At The Helm

by Mark Kevin Lloyd - October 18th, 2010 - The Hill

In February I had the honor to emcee a debate that the Tea Parties of the Virginia 5th District hosted for the GOP primary. I didn’t know what to say when I went to the microphone. I was new to this sort of thing, and I was obviously nervous. An elderly gentleman with years of political experience was amused with my nervousness and he said “don’t worry about it, just speak from your heart and these people will understand.” That was some great advice, I think. When I took the microphone I asked the crowd “how many of you are looking for a leader, please raise your hand” and about half of the 600 raised their hands, and some cheered. I was taken aback. I said, “you’re wrong!” The crowd went silent. I had to explain that this debate was a job interview for an employee. The fact that many in this “conservative” crowd were looking for a “leader” was disturbing. I told the crowd, “if you are looking for a leader, then look in the mirror.” This is the attitude of the Tea Party patriot that is completely missed by the “smart kids” that are currently calling the shots in Washington.

Great article. I love the analogy at the end of the article on what the Tea Party represents. Read and see if you agree.

What The Numbers Say About
Progress In Afghanistan

by Adam Levine - October 15th, 2010 - CNN News

... for all the investment of lives and money, the war is not registering with Americans. At least not while the numbers in everyone's bank accounts are a preoccupation. In a September poll by CNN and Opinion Research, only 9% of respondents thought the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq were the most important problem facing the country, 49% thought the economy mattered most.

It is curious that the Tea Party movement has not taken any serious stand on the war against the Islamo-fascists. I don't dispute that the greatest threat at this time is the threat of socialist takeover of our government and the consequent destruction of free enterprise. That threat is very real thanks to 52% of the voters in our last national election. Obama has proved to be a radical left wing extremist. At least one interesting foot note to that reality is the extremists of the Democrat Party are angry with him because he has not been as radical as they wanted! Wow.

If you doubt that the Democrat Party has become the socialist party (or progressive if you prefer that term) the polling that indicates frustration with Obama not being sufficiently radical should erase that doubt.

However I am concerned about what happens to the Tea Party movement because of the reality that things always move forward. Nothing ever stands still. The elections in November will start the process of fixing our economy. That will mean a new focus of politics will come about as we get that disaster behind us. That new focus could be the war with the Islamo-fascists. Conversely the inability for a large number of Americans to see the battlefield in Afghanistan as a part of that critical war could likely mean another retreat that emboldens these enemies. Iran is still going to get nuclear bombs. Iran is still going to fund the Islamo-fascists to be top dog in the world of Islam. At some point, we are going to face the consequences of not defeating these people more decisively. That will likely be nuclear bombs going off in American cities.

I was always ambivalent about Bush and the neo-conservative strategy of "democratizing" the middle east. I philosophically concur that it could be a brilliant coup if we could do it. I supported (and still support) much of the neo-conservative philosophy. However I am not sure we have accomplished a free democracy in Iraq though we spent billions trying. I believe it is unlikely we can ever do it in Afghanistan even though we have spent billions there and in Pakistan with the same goal. So one question becomes, "what remains of the neo-conservative idea?"

That question leads us to another question, "where does the Tea Party movement go after November?" It will still require a generation to take our country back. Does America have the kind of stubborn persistence to retake our nation that we displayed in the war against the Soviet Union? That means we have to be more honest about all of the threats we face, and yet I can't get many in the Tea Party movement to be concerned. I guess we will find out if the Tea Party movement is a single issue passion of the moment or whether it really does want to take our country back.

The Wilders West

by Andrew C. McCarthy - October 16th, 2010 - National Review

For a prosecutor, it was a simple matter of cause and effect. First, I showed that the “Blind Sheikh,” Omar Abdel Rahman, called for acts of violence: He admonished Muslims that Allah commanded them to slay non-believers and precisely quoted Islamic scriptures to back up that admonition. Then I showed that Muslim terrorists responded to these scripturally based exhortations by plotting and carrying out terrorist acts.

For this, the Clinton administration presented me the Attorney General’s Exceptional Service Award, the Justice Department’s highest honor. For doing exactly the same thing, the justice department of the Netherlands presented Dutch parliamentarian Geert Wilders with an indictment.

Barack Hussein Obama is trying to suppress the free speech rights of his political enemies. It does not matter whether you will concede this is true. This article makes the case for this accusation in the logical and compelling process by which a good attorney builds a winning case in a rational court of law.

The reason that Obama's agenda scares the hell out of me is that he is simultaneously stacking our courts with left wing extremists who will support his campaign to suppress free speech rights of those who are 'politically incorrect'. I have no doubt Obama will pervert justice if he can. He acknowledges in his biographies that he prefers and has always identified with the radical extremist views of those who hate our nation. The consequences of that hate for our nation includes a hate for our Constitution. The rights we are due from God identified in that document mean nothing to this radical extremist. His track record proves that to anyone who accepts reality.

Geert Wilders was acquitted this time. However anyone who doubts that the Islamic extremists (those I call Islamo-fascists) will be back with a new indictment soon is living in a dream world. Already the fear of the consequences have quelled freely stating the truth in Europe. That same fear is growing here in America.

Obama is depending on the same course happening here. It may take a few rounds before he gets the result he seeks, even as it will take a few rounds in Europe. However there is little doubt that Obama is as determined as the radical Islamo-fascists to live in a world where his enemies have no rights.

Tea Partiers Won't Go
When Fun Ends

by Ed Feulner & Senator Jim Demint - October 14th, 2010 - Poltico

In only 21 months, the tea party has exploded from a handful of scattered, spontaneous rallies into a full-fledged national movement capable of throwing out incumbents. Challenging entrenched Washington habits, it is a force both parties must reckon with.

Skeptics and opponents, however, continue to ask two basic questions. First, does the tea party have any real philosophical depth, a historical pedigree? Second, will its force dissipate after the elections?

The last is the best question I have heard asked about the election outcome, because it will determine whether the Tea Party movement wastes its energy in internal bickering or becomes a force for moral good in a nation that has lost its way for two generations. I am committed to demanding that the Tea Party movement live up to its best instincts. I plan to see that it becomes a dominant force in reclaiming our nation from those who knowingly are trying to destroy what makes us an exceptional force for good. I ask that everyone join in that great effort.

Red Herring Politics

by Thomas Sowell - October 5th, 2010 - Real Clear Politics

In an election year, this is the time for an "October surprise"-- some sensational, and usually irrelevant, revelation to distract the voters from serious issues. This year, there are October surprises from coast to coast. There are a lot of incumbents who don't want to discuss serious issues-- especially their own track records.

This year's October surprise that is getting the biggest play in the media is the revelation that California gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman once employed a housekeeper-- at $23 an hour -- who turned out to be an illegal immigrant. It is great political theater, with activist lawyer Gloria Allred putting her arm protectively around the unhappy-looking woman.

But why anyone should be unhappy at getting $23 an hour for housekeeping is by no means clear. Maybe she is unhappy because Meg Whitman fired her when she learned that her housekeeper was an illegal immigrant, despite false documents that indicated she was legal when she was hired.

What is Meg Whitman supposed to be guilty of?

Good question. Ranting about how outrageous the conduct of your opponent is even when the particulars of the attack are not clear or even based on truth is standard Alinsky strategy. Democrats are masters of this kind of lie based smear. Meg Whitman was getting a little too close to knocking off a good socialist. Therefore all the newspaper reporters and editors who are complicit in the socialist agenda gleefully spread this story as if Whitman knew the maid was illegal. The rate Whitman paid the maid and the fact that all taxes were paid and all paperwork filed should have been all the proof anyone needed to say, "where is the story?" However implying someone has done something wrong is perfectly okay within the Alinksy strategy. Actually having the facts on your side is not necessary. It is the outraged attitude and the smear that is important. Facts mean nothing.

U.S. Papers Spike
Mohammad Cartoon Depiction

by Steve Emerson - October 12th, 2010 - The Investigative Project On Terrorism

The Washington Post is among at least 20 newspapers, including these, which are under fire for refusing to publish a "Non Sequitur" cartoon alluding to the Prophet Mohammad.

Wiley Miller, whose cartoon appears in close to 800 newspapers, said he was not surprised by the papers' decisions because editors are "petrified" to run material containing the Prophet's name.

I do love it when someone proves their point in a dramatic fashion. First, go see the cartoon linked above or here. Read the comments in the article by the editors who pulled the cartoon. Then tell me that Wiley Miller has not proved his point.

Modern journalists and their editors are so filled with political correct nonsense that they cannot see how gutless they have become. They have learned that you cannot offend the liberal leaders and be a part of the liberal scene. Having accepted the Islamo-fascists as fellow enemies of America, they simply cannot offend them. Proving TWO things. They ARE gutless. They ARE enemies of America.

At the same time Barack Obama is spreading the lie that the Chamber of Commerce is a front for foreign interests. That lie they headline on page one above the fold. That lie they help spread with all the enthusiasm they have learned as lap dogs in the liberal-progressive-fascist-socialist war against the greatest nation that has ever existed. Spreading that lie is just as much proof that they are gutless and enemies of America as hiding the Miller cartoon. Being a more subtle proof does not make it just as true.

Good Golly, Miss Molly:
You're on Your Own

by J.R. Dunn - October 4th, 2010 - The American Thinker

Recently, a sad little footnote to the War on Terror -- sorry, the "Transcontinental Contretemps of Misapprehension"...did I get that right? -- passed nearly unnoticed: the disappearance of Molly Norris.

Molly Norris was a staff cartoonist for the Seattle Weekly, one of those left-of-center "alternative" deals handed out for free, making their money off the sex ads in the back pages. This incident probably marks the greatest impact the paper will ever have.

Last spring, in response to Islamist threats against Trey Parker and Matt Stone's lampooning the prohibition against portraying Mohammed on "South Park," Molly Norris published a cartoon proposing an "Everybody Draw Mohammed Day." The cartoon was harmless, unfunny, and didn't actually portray Mohammed. She apologized shortly afterward. None of this served to save her. Anwar al-Awlaki, currently the most active jihadi cleric (he triggered both the attempted Detroit airliner attack and the Fort Hood massacre), issued a fatwa calling for her assassination: "her proper abode is hellfire."

This article calls what happened to Molly Norris "a sad little footnote." If it stays a footnote for Molly, it will also be a sad little footnote to the passing of a once great nation. I totally disagree with what Molly Norris believes politically. However I still believe in the traditional view of free speech in America. "I do not agree with what you say but will defend to the death your right to say it." That is unfortunately no longer how America feels about free speech. As I write this the totalitarian tyrants of the Supreme Court are mulling the degree of restrictions they will tolerate on what you may or may not say. Few seem to care. Even on the left there is no outrage at what happened to Molly. They abandoned her right to free speech with the same indifference they have to the free speech right of those who are conservative or libertarian.

Today, it is all about electing officials that will properly discipline any who violate the politically correct line of the day. You do not have the right to think for yourself unless you understand that before you express your views you check to see what is politically correct to say publicly. This is America today. Some say they wish to "get America back." They can start with getting outraged at the suppression of the speech of someone they do not agree with. If what happened to Molly does not get them upset, they are never going to "get America back." They are as much a part of the problem as the liberal-fascists who so adore the politically correct rules that allow them to stop thinking and simply parrot the party line.

America On The Brink Of A Second Revolution

by Paul B. Farrell - September 28th, 2010 - Market Watch

“What’s distinctive about the Tea Party is its anarchist streak -- its antagonism toward any authority, its belligerent self-expression, and its lack of any coherent program or alternative to the policies it condemns,” warns Jacob Weisberg in Newsweek. But why not three cheers for the Tea Party Express?

Admit it, something historic is brewing. And yes, it’s good for America, even the anarchy. Revolution is renewal. Tea-baggers want to take on both parties, “restore honor” and “take back the country.” Bring it on, the feeling’s mutual.

OK, maybe most Americans just silently mimic the words, “we’re mad as hell, won’t take it any more.” But watch out: After November the campaign’s shrill rhetoric explodes into action.

Another crony capitalist takes on the Tea Parties and finds them a threat to his existence and the benevolent future that he thinks Obama offers.

It is easy to identify the underlying disapproval of this writer. He uses the sexually perverted label for the Tea Parties made popular by liberal-fascists, their "tea-bagger" insult, twice in his first four paragraphs. He can't allow you to miss his total disaproval and contempt. I agree with him. It is important to recognize his antipathy to the Tea Parties before you start to read his predictions. His take? Tea Party success will lead to a destruction of the stock market, the collapse of "democratic capitalism", the takeover of America by Wall Street kleptocrats and then the Second American Revolution to restore the intelligent progressive-socialist success story that Democrats still dream about. His primary prediction if Tea Party candidates win? Anarchy.

That is his take on the results of Tea Party success. Anarchy that will lead to revolution.

It is clear he settled on the anarchy insult as he had already used every other insult he could think of.
