**************
When this nation started, the demand for Freedom was supported by tax protests. The opposition against the tea tax was a symbol of our nation's refusal to have our personal freedom restricted. The tax was not that big a deal, but it was an erosion of individual freedom which was not consistent with America's expectation that government would not interfere with the common man. Both the Boston Tea Party and the Edenton Tea Party were great symbols of that demand for INDIVIDUAL FREEDOM.
This year we are going to have to reclaim our nation from the socialist minions who seek the destruction of free enterprise and individual freedom. They have already passed two trillion dollars of deficit spending in less time than it took to write the Declaration of Independence. They plan huge tax increases to pay for this waste. No one thinks their pretense that tax increases will only apply on the rich are not insincere and false representations. Socialism is evil and has always resulted in individual tyranny by bureaucrats who see their jobs as controlling the people, not serving the people. Barack Obama and his left wing friends are trying to rush our nation to socialism before it can be stopped. They believe they have the right to tell us how to live.
Thair rush to socialism means we have little time to organize our resistance. It is only six weeks to April 15th, Tax Day. This is a perfect day to protest the inter generational theft that is being rammed through by these lovers of global socialism. We must stop the bureaucratic tyranny which socialism always brings.
Please join me in Edenton, NC
on April 15th at 5:00 PM
for the Edenton Tea Party.
We will hold it on the courthouse green (shown above) next to Edenton Bay in front of the Edenton Courthouse (shown at top), an historical monument that is perfect location for this occasion. It was the site two years ago for the Freedom of Speech stop on the Bill of Rights Tour for our American Constitution. You can see coverage of that event here.
Price of admission is to bring a tea bag! If you want to be helpful, bring a spare tea bag and a guest. Also, please note. The event will start promptly at 5:00 PM. Come early to find parking.
