Did you imagine that anyone would even be talking about having a panel of so-called "experts" deciding who could and could not get life-saving medical treatments? Scary as that is from a medical standpoint, it is also chilling from the standpoint of freedom. If you have a mother who needs a heart operation or a child with some dire medical condition, how free would you feel to speak out against an administration that has the power to make life and death decisions about your loved ones?

Part II -October 29th, 2009

Internationally, Barack Obama has made every mistake that was made by the Western democracies in the 1930s, mistakes that put Hitler in a position to start World War II-- and come dangerously close to winning it. At the heart of those mistakes was trying to mollify your enemies by throwing your friends to the wolves. The Obama administration has already done that by reneging on this country's commitment to put a missile defense shield in Eastern Europe and by its lackadaisical foot-dragging on doing anything serious to stop Iran from getting nuclear weapons. That means, for all practical purposes, throwing Israel to the wolves as well.

Both domestically and internationally Barack Obama is living up to his promise to fundamentally transform America. What is truly frightening is how many of his supporters look at what he is doing and then deny the consequences are what he intends. "Oh he doesn't really mean that. You are just exaggerating." This is a common retort to those who are appalled at his actions. His words sound so good and his intentions as he expresses them are so benign that his actions can't be of concern. Not to his supporters anyway.

Change you can believe in did not mean the dismantling of America to most of his supporters. However it is becoming clear with the number of czars he appoints who are proud communists that Obama means something quite different than most understood. How soon they wake up may make the difference in whether we survive as a free nation.

Detroit Mosque Leader Killed In FBI Raids

A federal complaint filed Wednesday identified [Luqman Ameen] Abdullah, 53, also known as Christopher Thomas, as "a highly placed leader of a nationwide radical fundamentalist Sunni group." His black Muslim group calls itself "Ummah," or the brotherhood, and wants to establish a separate state within the United States governed by Sharia law...

In the course of excuting a warrant in support of the complaint, Abdullah was killed. Of course the response of the black community was established by this quote in the article:

Ihsan Bagby, the general secretary of the Muslim Alliance of North America, said Abdullah was a member of the Lexington, K.Y. based group, and his shooting shocked the African American Muslim community nationwide.

"We want to know what happened," said Bagby. "We had no inkling of any kind of criminal activity. This is a complete shock to all of us."

Of course they are shocked. They are advocating a race war to take over part of America but they are "shocked" to find out that this is being taken seriously by some of their followers. Sure they are. Like Captain Renault in Casablanca - "I'm shocked, shocked to find that gambling is going on in here!"

What is truly shocking is that many white Americans just don't want to hear that a race war is being planned. If we acknowledge that then we acknowledge that all blacks are not good and all whites are not bad. Having been taught the mantra that blacks are good and whites are bad for two generations, many cannot accept any other truth.

Mainstream Media Ignores Juicy ACORN Nuggets

The “Pimp and Pro” story, exposing ACORN’s willingness to advise a prostitute on tax evasion and child sex trafficking, hit America a few weeks ago. There were a myriad number of angles to report, yet the Mainstream Media's favorite approach seems to be the method in which James O’Keefe and I orchestrated and gathered the information.

It’s like going fishing, but instead of taking a picture and raving about the 750lb Mako shark you caught, you blather on about the bait that was used.

ACORN is not going away. ACORN is the heart and soul of anti-American Cloward-Piven corruption. If you are not familiar with the Cloward-Piven strategy, it is the technique by which global socialists brag they will destroy America - by overwhelming our government attempts to help the needy through corruption.

ACORN also uses Alinsky techniques to destroy their enemies, taught to them by a young lawyer named Barack Obama when he worked for ACORN.

Already, leading Democrats are maneuvering to undo the blocks on ACORN funding that were temporarily enacted when this embarrasment surfaced. Soon, you will once again be paying your taxes to this group to destroy our nation. If we cannot stop the Democrats from funding ACORN, this nation cannot reverse its spiral into self destruction. It is that simple.

CNN Drops to Last Place

CNN, which invented the cable news network more than two decades ago, will hit a new competitive low with its prime-time programs in October, finishing fourth – and last – among the cable news networks with the audience that all the networks rely on for their advertising.

Communist News Network has take a commanding lead in stupidity. Where they once enjoyed a commanding lead in viewers, their constant denigration of conservatives has alienated so many of their viewers, they now are in last place.

LAST PLACE!

Poll after poll shows that people in America self identify themselves as conservatives and moderates. Liberals are a tiny minority.
Conservative - 40%
Moderate - 36%
Liberal - 20%
Too ignorant to choose - 4%

Yet CNN is composed almost universally of liberals. They never miss a chance to mock anyone who dares disagree with them. So why is anyone surprised that they have lost a huge portion of the audience to Fox News. An interesting example is one of the leading shows on Fox News, Great Van Susteran, who considers herself left of center. Maybe she is more moderate than liberal, however she does not mock conservatives. She treats them with respect, even when she disagrees with them.

It is the editorial position of CNN that has cost them their audience, their arrogant disdain for conservative viewpoints. That attitude is obvious and does not sit well with people who have a choice of who to watch. They are voting with their remotes and it is CNN who is losing!

Violence Never Blah Blah Blah

I am sure most people have heard the famous old cliche, "Violence never solved anything." Mom's repeat it when they are trying to get their children to behave. Usually when one of their little darlings is pounding on someone else and has caused a bloody nose. The winner is punished and the loser consoled. You just know that the kid who won, learns the wrong lesson from this repeated cliche. The lesson learned is usually to make sure the loser can't prove who did it next time. That is unfortunately why the powerful often hide their use of power. It doesn't stop them from using power to get their way. It just creates a habit of deceit learned as a lesson from their childhood. Do you think Bernard Madoff did not learn this lesson of deceit early?

It affects nations as well. Some nations are proud of being pacifists. However the pacifist nation better not have any national wealth that exceeds their power to resist, or they are simply the first ones who are conquered by the nations that practice war. Violence, raw and pure, has settled almost every major conflict in mankind's history. It still does not matter how much those who yearn for peace argue otherwise.

History is written by the conqueror. Sometimes, to reduce future conflict, the powerful will make a pretense of hating war. Enjoying the wealth that has been attained tends to make the strong weaker over time. Therefore the tendency to see books written by the formerly strong advocating policies that mean they would never have conquered others can mislead. Such drivel has little real world meaning.

Two nations formed in conflict are perfect examples today of the strong getting weaker over time.

Because it is not quite so close to home, lets look at Israel first. Israel is slowly losing the war against Islam. More and more of the people in Israel are wishing that the Muslims would leave them alone in peace. They long for peace. As a result there are a number of peace movements in Israel that are attempting to persuade the rest of Israel to surrender something to gain peace. Peace is their goal and they will surely get it.

They will get it as a result of the victory of Islam over Israel. The reason is because Islamic enemies of the Jews are not seeking peace. They are seeking victory. Their religion is based on jihad against all infidels, but most especially Jews. The victory of Mohammad over the Jews of Medina is a major and glorious part of their history. Even as Muslim countries suffer abject poverty today, in spite of the immense oil wealth they squander, they blame the Jews. Defeat of the Jews will bring them wealth and power - in their minds. Their history says this and it is taught every day in the Muslim schools.

The Jews in Israel have never set up to denounce the idiocy being taught. They don't want to alienate Islam, they say. Yet with every military victory more and more Israelis tire of the never ending conflict and they yearn for peace. With every generation, the Islamic enemy becomes more adept at weakening Israel. The trend is clear. Israel is losing this war and it will end in the elimination of Israel. Those who want peace will get it. Those who want victory will get it.

America was formed as a nation by a small minority who pledged their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor to the attainment of liberty. The revolution was never actively supported by more than a tiny minority of the people in America. However they were the ones who had launched the war and they had to attain victory or they would lose everything. It is still amazing that the fairly small transgressions of the civilized British, even with an arrogant King, should have triggered the American Revolution. The conditions that brought it about had rarely existed before. A new continent, not ruled by any significant power, at a time of population pressure in Europe, sent waves of immigrants to seek a better life. They found it in a world that was wild and free for those who were willing to fight for it.

That is what the British misunderstood. The King made decisions expecting them to be perceived by a people who lived in British villages, with an orderly life, local sheriffs who kept the peace and little experience with fighting for freedom or self reliance. He sent soldiers to enforce his will in a nation with a scattered population, who rarely saw anyone in power, and thus had little respect for it. They fought to feed themselves. They fought to build lives in a wilderness. These were people who fought the Indians themselves, rarely relying on waiting for the British soldiers to arrive, except in the largest Indian wars.

No surprise, this nation, with small help from the French, defeated the greatest military power on earth, because the price to win was made too great. It was the will to victory, with leadership of great integrity, which fostered the American Nation's view of itself. We were willing to fight to be left alone. Though we played around with the usual paying of ransom to the Muslim nations in our earliest days, it finally became clear that the only way to be free was to defeat them. Now we are learning victory is not permanent. Once again it is Islamo fascism with its lust for subjugating others that is one of our main enemies. However it is not clear we still demand victory. It is not clear we are willing to fight for it.

However this time Islamo fascism is not the only enemy. We are also being challenged by global socialists and la razan supremacists. We are losing to all three. Every decade Spanish is becoming more common as the la razan supremacists invade our country in a stealth process that is destroying our culture. They claim they are here for jobs but privately brag they are taking over parts of our nation. They are. Every decade the global socialists take over another of our institutions and spread their tyranny of big government. They have dominated our schools for two generations. Nothing has been done to resist.

And still, with these two examples to waken us from our stupor, we welcome Islamic immigrants to our shores and allow them to start subverting our religious heritage. There is little sign we will not lose this war as well.

What nation or culture can allow three subversive elements to wage war against it and still survive without openly fighting for a clear and decisive victory. We have been persuaded that we must be tolerant and in our tolerance we have sowed the seeds of our own destruction. Despite being attacked from without, it has taken less than 8 years for the "violence never solved anything" crowd to sap our will to win in the middle east. We have barely won in Iraq. We are not winning in Afghanistan. Islamo fascism is only marginally less of a threat than when they took down the twin towers. Yet many of our people are tired of the loses and want to end the war.

We yearn for peace, not victory. We will get peace. The peace of being enslaved by those who seek victory.

The only questions? How soon will we realize we have lost and the cost for our children of that disaster?

Obama's Real Enemies List

Much has been made by the political left of Richard Nixon's infamous enemies list. The reality is most of those named were people who did not receive presidential Christmas cards or White House reception invitations.

In contrast, Barack Obama has a real enemies list the peace prize-winner and his proxies have attacked during the past year, including the minority of news outlets that do not worship the media's latest false idol.

The willingness to make war against anyone in America who does not slavishly follow his lead is indicative of a man who was never fit to be elected President. This list of his violations of the rights of others, and his attempts to use the power of the Presidency to destroy others, is breath taking.

People forget that even before he was President, he implored liberal staff in the Justice department to intimidate opponents with threats of legal actions. Liberal state attorney generals actually initiated action against media that they claimed mis-stated Obama's positions. This was a first in America, but Obama has gone far beyond that now.

Barack Obama became the first Presidential candidate to boot national newspapers who endorsed his opponent from his campaign and replaced them with black magazines Jet and Ebony that were wholehearted supporters.

He has attacked Rush Limbaugh, stopped prosecution of the Black Panthers for voter intimidation, attacked a private citizen not involved in politics for expressing opinions he disapproved of, used the power of the Presidency to corrupt a bankruptcy filing, illegally fired an Inspector General, accused returning soldiers of being threats to national security, collected an enemies list of average citizens to intimidate, threatened numerous corporations for not doing his bidding and launched boycotts to intimidate media that failed to obey him.

It is important that this long list of outrageous firsts be kept constantly in our memory. Obama practices so many outlandish intimidations that it is easy to forget all but the most recent. We must not. We must keep adding to the list and repeat it almost like a mantra so that we never forget the damage that must be undone to our fellow citizens.

Obama Taxes Pacemakers, Heart Valves

The more fiscal details of the health care bills emerge, the more appalling they seem. The Senate Finance Committee bill includes a broad provision taxing all manner of medical devices. This tax includes such frivolous luxuries as pacemakers, stents, artificial heart valves, defibrillators, automated wheelchairs, mechanized artificial limbs, replacement hips and knees, surgical gurneys, laparoscopic equipment and the like.

President Obama is planning to reduce the cost of medical care by taxing it!

This article documents the blackmail being practiced by the Obama regime in their efforts to get socialized medicine passed. What I still find ridiculous is the willingness of gullible groups to trust that Obama will live up to the corrupt deals he is negotiating to get their support. Why is anyone willing to support this fraud when as soon as it is passed Obama will start to renege on his side of the bargain? Did anyone not see how quickly obama threw Jeremiah Wright aside? Do they think that Obama truly honors anything but the most expedient way to garner his own power? What track record of trust has he established that would entice anyone to believe that he will be a man of his word?

Corzine, Cash & Corruption

New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine really has no shame.

Just hours after Bergen County's longtime Democratic machine boss, Joseph Ferriero, was convicted Thursday on three federal felony corruption counts -- which could land him in prison for 20 years -- New Jersey's governor proudly defended having written him personal checks totaling nearly a half-million dollars.

That's right: Corzine, the Wall Street multimillionaire, and his family have funneled no less than $441,600 of their own money to keep Ferriero's arrogant political machine rolling.

And Corzine claims to be leading the charge of ethics reform in the state.

Right.

Actually that expression of sarcasm is the same thing the writer of the article said. It is hard to comment on this article because corrupt Democrat machine politicians all over America have been pointing to minor Republican corruption and denigrating it for years. It is like the mafia complaining about the local bum begging on the street. The difference in scale is simply mind boggling. Yet the master of machine politics and his Democrat minions of greed and corruption continue to talk about transparency and openness of government. At the same time they are bribing the political machines with billions of tax dollars.

The arrogance cannot be matched. It is not just Corzine who has no shame.

Things To Watch For During A “Declared National Emergency”

If it was up to the majority who vote Democrat, Barack Obama could declare himself dictator tomorrow and they would merely cheer.

Did Financial Rules Mandate A Meltdown?

If you ask political philosopher Jeffrey Friedman who's doing a worse job, bankers whose companies needed to be rescued in last year's financial disaster or economists and political scientists trying to figure out what really happened, he won't have a hard time picking one over the other.

In Friedman's interpretation it's the bankers whose decisions actually made sense, and the economists and regulators trying to fix what went wrong are the ones who are senseless.

This is a useful article in the needed interpretation of last years predicted financial meltdown. There is an argument that no bailout was needed, that the bailout was a waste of money, and that we would be better off today if George Bush and Ben Bernanke had simply shut up and let the financial giants deal with the crisis by some of them going bankrupt.

The one certainty is that the only chance McCain-Palin had was to oppose the Bush panic if they wanted to get elected. They didn't. They lost. And now we have boy wonder Obama "fundamentally transforming America" into a socialist state.

America’s Obama Obsession

Anatomy of a passing hysteria

For 30 months the nation has been in the grip of a certain Obama obsession, immune to countervailing facts, unwilling to face reality, and loath to break the spell. But like all trances, the fit is passing, and we the patient are beginning to appreciate how the stupor came upon us, why it lifted, and what its consequences have been.

As usual, Victor Davis Hanson has done an impeccable job of analyzing the process that led to the Magic Marxist Messiah winning the election last November.

He has also done a logical job of analyzing and predicting the future consequences of the disillusionment with Obama. However this second step assumes certain facts that I have no confidence are true. Hanson offers two future scenarios that he thinks are possible. One scenario is rational for someone who wants America to succeed. The second scenario is a mild version of staying the course "transforming" America into a radical new vision.

But I wonder, what if Obama does not just stay the course, as Hanson defines it:

... Obama could hold the pedal to the floor on the theory that, as a proven ideologue, he must move the country far left before the voters catch on and stop him in his tracks in November 2010. That would mean more of the “gorge the beast” effort to spend and borrow so much that taxes have to soar, and thus redistribution of income will be institutionalized for a generation. He would push liberal proposals no matter how narrow the margin in the Senate. He would keep demonizing Fox News. In Nixonian fashion he might continue to hit the stump, ratcheting up his current “they’re lying” message and energizing his left-wing base by catering to the unions, gays, minorities — and liberal Wall Street special interests.

What if, instead, Obama vastly increases his campaign and actively interferes with his political opponents? What if he accelerates the anti-Fox effort and shuts down Fox and talk radio? What if he accelerates his subversion of our courts and uses the willingness of left wing judges to shut down opposition groups and stop them from even advertising on a government controlled media?

What if he endorses the global cap-and-tax legislation by Presidential edict and then dares political opposition to interfere with UN initiatives to subvert our sovereignty? Who has the guts to challenge him?

Corporations all over America are acting like subservient curs and they whimper for Obama approval. They are abandoning the Chamber of Commerce to get their piece of the Obama pie under cap-and-tax. We no longer have anyone of real power who is willing to fight Obama. Even the Republican Party is endorsing socialist candidates like Scozzafava as they tremble at Obama's arrogance. With Republican leaders like Michael Steele and Newt Gingrich caving, who needs traitors like Quisling?

Obama's ability to win may only require he continue to act while his opposition talks... and talks... and talks.

What Civility Is Lost If It Was Never Found?

There is much gnashing of teeth and rending of cloth these days about the death of civility.

As the long list of examples proves, civility has never existed when conservatives were in power and liberals wanted to attack them. Anything vile could be said and it was fair game. Civility only became necessary when Obama came to power and his thin skin would not tolerate even the mildest complaint.

What a whiner the Magic Marxist Messiah is. He is so used to being loved and praised he can't take criticism at all.

White House Attacks Worry Moderate Democrats

A White House effort to undermine conservative critics is generating a backlash on Capitol Hill — and not just from Republicans.

“It’s a mistake,” said Rep. Jason Altmire, a moderate Democrat from western Pennsylvania. “I think it’s beneath the White House to get into a tit for tat with news organizations.”

Altmire was talking about the Obama administration’s efforts to undercut Fox News. But he said his remarks applied just the same to White House efforts to marginalize the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, a powerful business lobby targeted for its opposition to climate change legislation.

First they came for the Auto Companies, and I did not speak out - because I was not an Auto Company.
Next they came for Rush Limbaugh, and I did not speak out - because I was not a listener of his show.
Next they came for Fox News, and I did not speak out - because I prefer CNN.
Next they came for the Chamber of Commerce, and I did not speak out because I only work for a Company, I do not own it.
Then my Company was shut down, and I have no job. That is why I am in this welfare line.
Obama says I must not complain or he will cut off food for my children.

Anyone who does not see the trend in these actions by the Obama regime, does not understand how history works. Power. Tyranny is all about power. Yesterday I talked with a friend and decribed what I believe is growing evidence that we are on the same path to tyranny that befell Argentina in the late 1800s, and Germany in the mid 1900s. He said the standard "It can't happen here."

He is wrong. It is happening here and Americans are too complacent to realize how fast it can happen.

The backlash reported in this article is just talk. It is not changing the Obama actions in the least. It is just talk. That is the problem. His opponents are talking and Obama is acting.

FCC Moves On Net Neutrality Rules

While technical, the issue of network neutrality - or Net neutrality - has sparked a furious, expensive lobbying war, as well as a raging debate in cyberspace over the government's role in setting the rules of the road for the Internet, with some even arguing that the right to free speech in the Information Age is at stake.

The discussion over net neutrality is surreal at times - with liberals arguing in favor of government controlling access - while conservatives argue for continuation of the current rules. The idea that Google is charged more for its access to the Internet than other content providers is not the true sticking point of the liberal's complaints.

It is like the double-speak of the book 1984.

The real issue is the ability of a government agency to grant access to one group and ban another. Conservatives do not trust the liberals because they have publicly proclaimed these rules necessary to shut down conservative web sites and conservative content providers. Liberals hate Drudge and love Google. That Google is a billion times bigger than Drudge is not the issue. They want Google to have access that is preferential and Drudge to be blocked.

Anyone who expects that liberals will stop with Drudge are simply idiots. Like the liberal plans to shut down talk radio because more listeners chose conservative sources, the plan to assure net neutrality is a plan to force the success of liberal web sites with government edicts.

Matt Drudge For Treasury

Editorial - October 21st, 2009 - New York Sun

Newsman Matt Drudge is being blamed for the collapse of the dollar, we see on the website politico.com. The Washington based news site has issued a story reporting that Mr. Drudge has developed what Politico calls “a fascination” with the declining dollar. It quotes some sources as doubting that Mr. Drudge moves the market per se. But it quotes others who think he does and that it's political. It quotes the director of the Pew Research Center, Tom Rosenstiel, as saying in respect of the greenback that Mr. Drudge is “fixated on it” and adding that there’s “no question that Drudge can alter what people are paying attention to.” By Politico’s count, Mr. Drudge has posted a link to the dollar story 18 times in the first 20 days of October.

By our lights, this is proof that Mr. Drudge has 18 times better news sense than those who have been ignoring or underplaying one of the great stories of a generation — the destruction of the value of a currency that had been the envy of every country in the world and the principle reserve currency for the most responsible of them. Maybe they ought to make him treasury secretary.

The destruction of the dollar is a policy of the Obama regime. Why is not clear. The consequences of this policy are almost certainly the destruction of any chance for economic recovery, and thus the destruction of any chance for Barack Obama to be re-elected. Unless he plans, as some have suggested, on declaring a national emergency and stopping the 2012 Presidential elections.

I guess we will see what happens. Personally I think that unless we take back congress in 2010, it will not matter whether we have elections in 2012. The nation will be unalterably socialist and permanently tyrannical.

House Democrats Lock GOP Out of Committee Room

Democratic staff for the House oversight committee informed their GOP counterparts today that the majority has changed the locks on the committee's hearing room. While Republicans previously enjoyed their own key to the room, they will now have to request access from Democrats. This followed a bitter partisan argument in which Republicans refused to take down a video from their website that contradicted Dem explanations about a closed-door meeting on the Countrywide VIP loan scandal.

Democrats are not just corrupt, they are destroying representative democracy and our Constitution. I promise, the next Democrat that talks to me about unity and coming together, after all the slimy back stabbing acts and constant stream of insults, is going to get a fist in his nose. Barack Obama is the most divisive President in history. The Democrats are following his lead.

The News Is Broken

"The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is now getting ready to throw its weight behind strong climate legislation," the business channel's reporter announced, as "Breaking News" flashed on the screen.

About the same time, the Reuters news service fired off a bulletin on its wire: "US CHAMBER OF COMMERCE SAYS WILL NO LONGER OPPOSE CLIMATE CHANGE LEGISLATION." The news was automatically posted on Web sites of news organizations subscribing to Reuters, including the New York Times and, um, The Washington Post.

Fox Business News, too, went with the "breaking" graphic. "Breaking news, right now, the Chamber of Commerce saying it will reverse its position on the climate-change bill," the anchor reported. A few seconds later, he paused. "Apparently we just called the Chamber of Commerce," he said, "and they're denying that they are changing their position." The anchor, still on air, began a discussion with his producer before explaining to his audience, "It's live TV, folks."

Almost all of live news got it wrong. It was not just not true. It was a hoax of huge proportions perpetrated by left wing radical environmental extremists called the "Yes Men". All the details of the hoax are in the article. The consequences are not. A long term hoax made famous by Al Gore claiming global warming is caused by man... is now being supported by conducting more hoaxes... perpetrated by the same global warming fanatics that started the global warming scam now fraudulently claiming that opponents are changing their minds.

Every White House complains about its press coverage. A contentious relationship between the Executive Branch and a free and independent media is part of America's DNA. Always has been.

But this White House seems to feel they're different. It's not just that the current occupant of the Oval Office has a particularly thin skin when it comes to criticism - which is especially ironic given that he's been the recipient of more glowing press coverage than possibly any candidate or president in modern American history. But not since Nixon conjured up an "enemies list" have we seen the full weight of the Office of the Presidency brought to bear in such a targeted and deliberate effort to delegitimize a media organization critical of the President.

When Communications Director Anita Dunn first announced the White House's war against FOX News last week, many people from across the political spectrum dismissed it as silly. But two of the administration's heaviest hitters, Senior Advisor David Axelrod and Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, went on the Sunday talk shows and made clear that the White House's attempt to delegitimize FOX News is deadly serious.

There have been repeated proclamations by those on the left that the election of Barack Obama will allow them to silence voices on the right. From the return of the "fairness doctrine", to the insistence on ending "hate speech" as defined by leftists, to this latest attempt to de-legitimize one critical news outlet, the left has displayed a vulgar contempt for "free speech". They define free speech as embracing leftist ideologies. There is nothing but contempt for anyone who dares to disagree. The left has long been guilty on college campuses of shouting down any they disagree with. Now they are trying to shout down any organization that dares to have a view they do not accept.

If we lose free speech and a free press, we will lose our freedom. It is the most important freedoms we have. All others are dependent on the glaring light of publicity that can be brought to bear in a nation of free speech.

National Juggernaut

This 1948 cartoon has gone viral on the Internet. It was produced during a time of communist attempts to subvert our government and steal our freedoms. The reaction to the cartoon is very curious. Liberals and socialists see it as a condemnation of George W. Bush. Conservatives and libertarians see it as a condemnation of Barack Obama. No matter how you see it, the cartoon explains a lot about the national agreement on certain basic philosophies that used to exist. Today there is some question that we still agree on those basic philosophies. If for no other reason that makes it worth watching.

There is also another difference. In 1948 the threat to freedom was external. Today the threat to freedom is internal. Yet we have a public breakdown in support for the both left and the right philosophies whose proponents still argue about the future... and over the same issues they argued about in 1948.

In any event, this conversation on our future is important and the cartoon is well worth watching. It is around 10 minutes long and covers a lot of ground during that short period. I am not surprised it is going viral.

Oath Keepers pledges to prevent dictatorship in United States

Depending on your perspective, the Oath Keepers are either strident defenders of liberty or dangerous peddlers of paranoia.

In the age of town halls, talk radio and tea parties, middle ground of opinion is hard to find.

Launched in March by Las Vegan Stewart Rhodes, Oath Keepers bills itself as a nonpartisan group of current and retired law enforcement and military personnel who vow to fulfill their oaths to the Constitution.

More specifically, the group's members, which number in the thousands, pledge to disobey orders they deem unlawful, including directives to disarm the American people and to blockade American cities. By refusing the latter order, the Oath Keepers hope to prevent cities from becoming "giant concentration camps," a scenario the 44-year-old Rhodes says he can envision happening in the coming years.

It's a Cold War-era nightmare vision with a major twist: The occupying forces in this imagined future are American, not Soviet.

It is consistent that the opposition to this group's patriotic goals are uniformly radical activists in the global socialist movement. Groups such as the extreme left wing Southern Poverty Law Center never seem to find common cause with any group that defends individual freedom. You have to ask yourself how wrong can the Oath Keepers be if the people who oppose them have aligned themselves with a world wide organization dedicated to the destruction of America. The groups that the Southern Poverty Law Center support have proclaimed a strategy of using democracy to bring America down. The only serious charge that the left wing oponents can come up with is the standard refrain that the Oath Keepeers are racists. This charge has become so predictable it is no longer meaningful.

Just like everyone else on the morning of Oct. 9, the major media's first reaction to Barack Obama winning the Nobel Peace Prize was shock and disbelief.

NBC's Matt Lauer spoke for the pack when he said he didn't want to be "rude," but how did Obama earn it? Washington Post columnist Ruth Marcus was blunt: "This is ridiculous -- embarrassing, even." She said the award is supposed to be for "doing, not being."

That is true, but for the swelling group of Americans who are not enamored of Obama, that could easily be turned around on the media: Why would you, of all people, question the inflated judgment of the five Norwegian prize pickers? They are merely doing the same thing you've been doing for five years: praising Obama far beyond his actual job experience...

I guess I am amazed that people are still laughing at this travesty. I posted a couple of articles back when this first happened. Still it is interesting that even those on the left are still upset by this farce. It is in fact the reason that Obama is now starting a war with Fox News. Obama is desperate to change the subject. He is being hammered by the public over the health care takeover. He is being hammered by the press (and our national comedians) over the Nobel Prize farce. He is being hammered by foreign affairs leadership over his mishandling of Iran, Israel, Afghanistan and Russia.

The solution of the whiners in his regime? Attack the press, or at least the part of the press they think the rest will not defend. What this amateur does not seem to appreciate is how weak this makes him look. The average American does though.

Constantly repeating this mantra makes our enemies think he is weak as well. Unfortunately they are treating America like it is as weak as our President.

A bright young couple were carjacked after a Saturday night date and murdered in the most brutal way imaginable.




Christopher Newsom, 23, was tied up and raped, shot in the back of the head and then dragged to a railway track and set on fire.

His girlfriend, 21-year-old University of Tennessee student Channon Christian’s fate was even more horrific.

Her death came only after hours of torture, during which time she was raped and savaged with a broken chair leg.

She was beaten in the head and a household bleach was poured down her throat and over her bleeding and battered genital area in an attempt by her attackers to cover any evidence of rape – all while she was still alive.

Then she was ‘hog-tied’ with curtains and a strip of bedding and a plastic bag was wrapped over her face.

Her body was stashed inside five bigger rubbish liners and dumped in a bin, where, according to the autopsy report, she slowly suffocated to death.

Channon was forced to watch while Christopher was brutally killed before her turn came.

However you have to understand... this was not a hate crime. Five blacks did this to whites, so it was not a hate crime. Al Sharpton insists that this is not something that anyone should worry about. Just move along folks. These five blacks are not sub-human savages. They are just decent black folks who got a little out of hand one night. The people to condemn here are the people who are upset that the crime is being ignored by the media.

"The DA’s office is outraged they have tried to abuse the victims by using the death of loved ones for racist purposes," John Gill said.

Oh the poor black victims - uh criminals. Letalvis 'Rome' Cobbins was convicted of multiple first degree murder charges, rape, kidnapping and robbery. But since he took money from these kids we shouldn't get too upset because it was not a really serious crime. It was just a little robbery that got out of hand. Isn't it just terrible that he will spend the rest of his life in jail for something so trivial? What a waste of a good young man's life with so much promise. Move along now.

Another, Eric Boyd, was convicted of accessory to carjacking and got a whole 18 years for helping these kids go to heaven. Now don't you think that is excessive for a poor black man who just assisted in this crime. 18 years for ONLY TWO murders! He was only 37 years old and his whole life was before him. There is a law that says if you assist in a crime that leads to murder, you are guilty of murder too. But that shouldn't apply to this man because he is black. It isn't like the people killed were anyone who mattered. They were only a couple of whites. You know they were racists too. You can see it in their eyes in the picture above. With a little luck and good behavior though, Boyd should be out in 9 or 10 years and then he can become a productive citizen, with tax payer funded assistance of course.

The other three are still waiting to stand trial. Most of the local black community are praying they will get probation, so they can make something of their lives to atone for hurting these two white racist bigots - uh - two young people that is.

One Pleasant Day In Runnymede

They then forced him to sign and place the Royal Wax seal on fifty copies so all Englishmen would know their rights. This “Great Charter” was immediately annulled by the Pope. For the next eight centuries royalists burned every copy they could capture, but today four originals still remain.

“No free man shall be taken or imprisoned or deprived or outlawed or exiled in any way, except by the lawful judgment of his peers or by the law of the land.”

This direct quote, along with fifty other covenants, became the basis for Canon Law and seed for the American Bill of Rights. These great documents then inspired freedom movements around the globe, but today only a small fraction of humanity can claim to have freedom. Sadly, tyranny never sleeps and Western freedom is under assault from utopians again.

These opening paragraphs give little clue to the intelligent debunking which this article provides of the fraud being prepetrated by the proponents of man-caused-global-warming. Much of my frustration with many on the left is their nearly illiterate inability to acknowledge history which proves them wrong. Mr. Olsen has writen one of the better articles on the subject of global warming I have read.

I especially like the history of the CO2 fraud, which actualy goes back nearly 100 years. Knowing how it came about, how can anyone believe it? Yet those on the left still do. Everyone should be told about the scam that was started by Svante Arrhenius so many years ago. Yet few know it.

I also like his use of the chicken little story as a metaphor for the puppet masters who are selling the global warming scam. Very good article.

Russia To Allow Pre-Emptive Nukes

This is Russia's response to Barack Obama's wishful thinking about a "world without nuclear bombs". As a pipe dream it is a doozy. Russia made it clear, they would love America to disarm. They recognize that with a gutless Democrat in charge, they could blackmail America at will.

A final observation, perhaps too obvious to require saying: It's no coincidence that Democratic Party outlets like CNN had to dredge up fake quotes to make their case. Nothing Rush actually said would do the trick, even though he's been on the radio three hours a day, five days a week, for more than twenty years. That really tells you all you need to know.

The Alinsky technique of lying about people to smear them is simply detestable. Yet Democrats keep repeating the Alinksy lies as if having said it once, it is fair game forever. Dan Rather reported lies about Bush, was fired for it, and sued on the premise that it was a "higher truth" and should have been permitted. Why is anyone surprised that CNN feels the same way about this. Their attitude? Maybe they lied, buy it was in a good cause so everyone should just leave them alone.

Why White America Chose Obama

Some useful insight from one who grew up in our "integrated" schools of the last 40 years.

Middle school was like living in a war zone. The white kids were called every name in the book. There were few of us who weren't assaulted, knifed, robbed, molested on a regular basis. I developed physical problems for fear of using the bathroom, where many of the attacks happened.

In retrospect I wish I had told an adult -- my parents or someone at school. But when you're a small child in a Sarajevo-like environment, you keep your head down and your mouth shut.

It's unlikely, anyway, that the adults would have acted. My parents were preoccupied with their busy social life.

It is sad. This lady, Robin of Berkeley, thinks about issues that I have rarely paid any attention to. I am a computer geek and project manager. These are the skills I have studied and honed over the last 40 years. I have known that the way we were raising out kids was wrong, but I could not explain why it was wrong. I did not have the background or language. So I simply ignored the issue and avoided being drawn into discussions on the topic.

To have someone from this world explain in simple terms how this evil of our schools has been foisted on our kids is surprising for the following reason. Most of the people with Robin's background defend the evil of our public schools with a vengeance. She doesn't. This article is important. I don't know if it is too late, but I do know that we have to stop doing what we have done to end a society that was good. Our schools have been actively promoting hatred of whites and the society that our founders created. The freedom that is being destroyed is all the justification we need to fight back.

What's Michael Moore Talking About?

Moore declares capitalism evil, but he's never clear about what "capitalism" means. Considering how much time he spends documenting the cozy relationship between business and government, I thought he might mean "state capitalism."

But then he uses the term "free market" as a synonym for what he doesn't like.

What does the free market have to do with businesses manipulating government and strong-arming Congress for bailouts? Moore properly condemns both.

What does he want instead of "capitalism"? He's coy about that.

I have ranted for several years about the crony capitalism that has left Wall Street aligned with the socialists as enemies of free enterprise. A large percentage of so-called conservative writers constantly defend Wall Street with a knee jerk defensiveness that clearly indicates they really are themselves pretty light weight intellectually.

Free enterprise, capitalism, works for the betterment of society by assuring that there is competition for the consumer's expenditures. When there is no competition, there is no free enterprise. Yet Wall Street, through mergers and acquisitions, constantly works to eliminate competition and create monopolies. It has thus become a modern truth that Wall Street is the enemy of capitalism and free enterprise. It is so obvious that even an idiot could see it. So why can't our "conservative" writers?

I think that the problem conservatives have with Michael Moore is that he is pretty smart about these things. He has brilliantly confused not just the left, but also the right, because he sees how gullible the right is in defending practices they should be criticizing. Why are conservative writers not denigrating Wall Street practices? Moore uses that obvious hypocrisy to his advantage.

Okay, Prove You Didn't Say It!

The best thing about them is that we should shortly reach a point where the charge of racist is meaningless. Once again, the charge in this case is false. How many times can you yell "fire" in a theater before people start to notice there is no smoke?

The Death Knell Of Liberty

The United States of America—that “shining city on a hill”—had a good run of it, and made a gallant effort at establishing liberty for all. But as the old saw would have it, all good things must come to an end.

Liberty, after all, is an aberration in mankind’s history—a light that has flared here and there over the centuries, only to dissolve back into the darkness.

America is barreling towards becoming a bit player on the world’s stage, and its vaunted middle class — once the envy of the world — is on the verge of being eliminated.

It is possible that Jim O'Neill believes we still have time. He carefully documents the United Nations Agenda 21 that is the blueprint for the destruction of America. This litany almost sounds like O'Neill is a conspiracy theorist, but in reality it is all true. Though the article is depressing in its litany of actions taken to destroy the freedom we have in America, it ends with:

If there are still enough patriotic Americans who value personal integrity and freedom — there’s a chance we can still turn this thing around, but it won’t be easy. Far from it.

I think he is right. I said to a couple of people who came to the Edenton TEA Party in April; "We can still win, but it will take a large part of this crowd being willing to spill blood." Back then I got some funny looks. In the original American Revolution, it was the willingness to spill blood that made the difference. They were warriors. They were fearless. Freedom meant more than their businesses and their plantations. They pledged their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor. Most lost everything. How many freedom warriors are their in America who are willing to fight for freedom with their lives today? Much less their money. It looks like we are going to find out.

President Obama's Favorite Words: 'Let Me Be Clear'

For all his flourish, President Barack Obama sure falls back on a few familiar phrases.

"Make no mistake." "Change isn't easy." "It won't happen overnight." "There will be setbacks and false starts."

Those who routinely listen to the president have come to expect some of those expressions to pop up in almost every speech. (That includes you, cynics and naysayers, the ones Obama mentions all the time without identifying who is saying nay.)

Yet in the portfolio of presidential phrases, none is more pervasive than Obama's four-word favorite: "Let me be clear."

It is his emphatic windup for, well, everything.

Including his many lies. What the author failed to note is the well known propensity by liars to use such expressions to hide their lies. Intelligent listeners use these phrases to easily pick out the lies. In almost every example in the article, the meaning is just the opposite of what Obama says. He insists he does not want to take over GM and then does just that. He insists that his health insurance will not make you change your doctor and then supports a system that does just that.

"Let me be clear" is almost always a red flag for, "What I say next is the opposite of what I really mean." Yet gullible liberals can't seem to see the lies.

Energy Crisis Is Postponed As New Gas Rescues The World

The World Gas Conference in Buenos Aires last week was one of those events that shatter assumptions. Advances in technology for extracting gas from shale and methane beds have quickened dramatically, altering the global balance of energy faster than almost anybody expected.

Tony Hayward, BP's chief executive, said proven natural gas reserves around the world have risen to 1.2 trillion barrels of oil equivalent, enough for 60 years' supply – and rising fast.

What is bizarre is that once again it is American and British technology that is solving our energy problems, not the green energy so beloved of Obama and his acolytes. The solution is one that the environmentalists are outraged over. Though they have difficulty in arguing against technology that reduces pressure to drill offshore, they still absolutely HATE the idea that LNG will replace their beloved wind mills.

The Self-Censorship Of Liberals: It's Too Scary To Look

When the BBC finally ‘fessed up last week to the Global Warming Fraud -- without admitting how much they aided and abetted the scam over ten years or more -- a liberal gent I know was shocked. The most interesting question is not whether liberals will allow themselves to be deluded again. Most of them still seek "excuses" for the image of Al Gore and Barack Obama collapsing. The ones who, like the liberal in the article, finally accept they have been sold a bill of goods, are still pretty rare. The interesting question is how long it will take them to find another "Messiah" to lead them with another utopian vision they can accept without question?

The list of 16 anti Americans who Obama has appointed to positions of power is long. Most have heard already of Valerie Jarret, but for a sample, here are two more equally frightening:

Patrick Gaspard -- White House Political Director (this is the position Karl Rove held in the Bush Administration). Prior to coming on board as President Obama's right-hand man, Mr. Gaspard was a registered federal lobbyist for the SEIU - the union members ... called-in by the Administration to run interference (sometimes violent) between Democrat members of Congress who support ObamaCare and their own constituents. Prior to that, Gaspard worked for ACORN - the community organizing front which Barack Obama worked for as a trainer, represented as a lawyer, helped as a politician, and funneled money to as a presidential candidate.

The President Obama is as much a product of ACORN as it is of him. He worked closely with the "community organizing" group for many years, represented them in court, and was a member of the board of Chicago's Woods Fund at the time it funneled $200,000 to an ACORN affiliate. Mr. Obama praised the organization extravagantly both during and after his election, and his campaign "donated" over $800,000 to an offshoot group controlled by ACORN (Citizens Services, Inc.) - to "get out the vote."

Gaspard worked directly for now-ACORN chief Bertha Lewis as her political director for the main ACORN office which is located in New York. ACORN is mired in long-standing as well as new and growing allegations of fraud, voter-registration fraud, corruption, and massive embezzlement of funds - ACORN operative organizations have received tens of millions of dollars in federal grants. ACORN pledged $35,000,000 for voter registration drives in the 2008 election cycle.

In 2004, Patrick Gaspard served as National Field Director for America Coming Together (ACT), a group which was later fined $775,000 in civil penalties by the federal government. ACT hired felons - some convicted of sex offenses, assault and burglary - to conduct door-to-door voter registration drives in Missouri and at least two other swing states, and also employed felons as voter canvassers in major metropolitan areas in Missouri, Florida, Ohio.

Cecelia Muñoz -- White House Director of Intergovernmental Affairs. Prior to being summoned to the White House by President Obama, Ms. Muñoz was Senior Vice President of The National Council of La Raza. La Raza (literally, "The Race") is the largest Hispanic lobbying organization in America, and is committed not merely to a socialist agenda, but, essentially, the return of California, if not larger portions of the American West, to Hispanics. It lobbies heavily for completely open borders with Mexico, as well as amnesty for all illegal aliens. In order to carry out this agenda, the U.S. federal government awarded over $15.2 million in grants to the organization in 2005 alone.

La Raza is intimately involved with the "the radical racist group Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan, or Chicano Student Movement of Aztlan (MEChA), one of the most anti-American groups in the country, which has permeated U.S. campuses since the 1960s, and continues its push to carve a racist nation out of the American West." Aztlan's goal is the formation of a Chicano state. The closing two sentences of Atzlan's motto are: La Raza todo. Fuera de La Raza nada": "For The Race everything. Outside The Race, nothing." Which ought to be as chilling as the idea of the U.S. government funding these people.

President Obama's recent appointee to the U.S. Supreme Court, Sonia Sotomayor, has also long been deeply involved with La Raza - a fact which all Democrat Senators ignored during her confirmation hearing.

Not only is Ms. Muñoz wedded to La Raza, she is closely associated with the Gamaliel Foundation - an organization which both President Obama and his wife Michelle are involved and active with. On December 4, 2008, members of the Gamaliel Foundation held a "prayer" service in Washington, D.C. in which they literally and liturgically prayed to Barack Obama, "Barack, hear our prayer," as the repeated responsive plea to a minister's lengthy requests for intercession. The reality is that la razan supremacy, Islamo-fascism and global socialism are three huge movements that are working together for the destruction of America in an active war. Americans seem to be oblivious to this axis of evil dedicated to the destruction of what makes our country free. President Obama has been agitating for the authority to criminalize political opponents since he took office. First there was the raft of DHS reports profiling conservatives as terrorists. Then came the push for a new fairness doctrine, subsequently refined to be achieved in diversity regulations to be imposed on local radio stations. Following these attacks on free speech was the much debated hate crimes legislation, considered by many to be a back-door path to silencing critics of the administration. But, while dangerous to free speech, none of these draconian policies could do as much damage as new regulatory czar Cass Sunstein's shocking proposal to ban "falsehoods" -- a term left up to the Obama administration to define. If Sunstein succeeds, free speech will be truly dead in America.

What is truly incredible is the number of people who look at these outrageous views by Obama's appointees and react with the sentiment that those who are exposing the outrageous positions are the evil people. "No one can believe that such views are actually true." It is the messenger who is being doubted. They refuse to look at the evidence and simply reject the possibility that Obama is siding with radicals like Sunnstein. With such stupidity, Obama and his regime are rapidly "transforming America", just as Obama promised.

How Obama Has Failed Black Americans

President Obama has done nothing worth mentioning in his life. His whole "career" (if that is what we might call it) has been resentment politics. He taught "law," but his law was the imaginary law of social justice. He was a community organizer, which means nothing in particular at all. He wrote a good book which actually Bill Ayers wrote for him. He entered the Illinois State Senate and acquired an impressive record of voting "present." Did United States Senator Obama do anything except mouth the tired, failed theories of a cranky, dead German political economist? No.

He spent decades attending a church mired in vicious pseudo-Christian black racism. He learned about politics from champions of terrorism and revolution - dreary, uninspired bitterness cooked into political theory. He offers black Americans, really, nothing good to cherish. He offers nothing noble for black Americans to emulate. Barack Obama has failed black America.

This condemnation of Obama is arguably true. Certainly Obama has failed our nation. No one can pretend to lead a nation when his primary technique is to go around expressing shame for the nation which he is supposed to lead. Did he not realize that America had many allies in the world? It appears Obama thought everyone in the world hated us as much as he hates us.

The arguments presented in this article need to be read by everyone, espcially blacks who recognize how much better their lives are than they would be if they lived anywhere else in the world. What is sad is how few blacks actually believe that. 96% still support Obama. That support is as racist as any KKK ever expressed. Leading 13% of our population to hate the 70% that is white is not going to unite our country, nor will it serve the interests of the 13% in the long run.

The way the Islamo-fascists think, they will blame America no matter who the fighting starts with. The question is how many American cities will lie in ruins before this war is over. Barack Hussein Obama does not have a clue about international affairs and the hard core politics that underlies national interests in most of the world.

As a prime example, I give you the whiny speech made by his wife in soliciting the Olympics for Chicago. She had the utter gall to talk about being poor in America, and how she struggled to take advantage of her free education at America's best schools. This pleading request that Chicago get the Olympics to inspire other poor people in Chicago to take advantage of the affirmative action programs that they receive (on top of the free food and free medical care) bordered on ignorant. Obama's wife seemed oblivious to the fact that most of the people in other countries that were going to vote have no welfare or affirmative action for the poor. Most of the middle class in these other countries do not live as well as the poor here.

These two deluded amateurs, Barack and Michelle, have no experience and no historical perspective. They have studied how to get more government handouts in the richest nation on earth. That is their profession. They think that the well off in other countries care about the poor here in America. They think that talking nice and being willing to give up some of our wealth will make them be loved by foreign tyrants.

The consequences of Obama being President during World War IV will be catastrophic. It is coming.

The Obamas Violated First Three Rules Of Selling

Of course Barack and Michelle Obama failed in Copenhagen. Their strategy could not possibly succeed. In their academic arrogance, they thought they could sell a product they clearly do not believe in (the United States) and moreover, they could do so by stressing the benefits to the seller (Chicago) and not the buyer (the IOC). And to top it off, they committed the faux pas of talking too much about the sales force (themselves) and not about the product or the buyer.

Gee, what could possibly go wrong?

The quotes from the speeches by Michelle and Barack are absolutely astounding. These two could not be more narcissistic if they tried. you should read the article to get the entire argument Mr. Wright makes so persuasively, but one section will give you a sample.

He and the First Lady did not even pretend to be proud of us. They went on an unseemly, surreal begging campaign that mixed in uncomfortable bits and pieces of their personal histories with platitudes about what the Olympic Games could do for the children of Chicago. Oh, BTW, the Obama family would personally find it kind of a cool thing for the neighborhood.
So ask not what our country can do for your Olympics - ask what your Olympics can do for our city. Heck, that was the First Lady's closing argument:

Chicago's vision for the Olympic and Paralympic Movement is about so more than
what we can offer the Games -- it's about what the Games can offer all of us.

That was how she ended her speech. That was her "please sign here" moment. For the record, her talk mentioned NOTHING about what we could offer the games. Not a word. No wonder they didn't sign on the dotted line.

During her speech Michelle whined about growing up on the South side of Chicago. How can Michelle Obama, with all the poverty in the world, think that the advantages even blacks have in America give her the right to poor mouth living here. That is true even if you ignore the special privileges that affirmative action provided by giving her an ivy league education just because she was black. Oh the poor little Michelle. Her husband is the most powerful man in the world because the country he leads is the richest and most powerful in the world. Poverty here is better than middle class in most of the world. Does she not get that? What an idiot.

Earlier this year, economist David Neumark of the University of California, Irvine, wrote on these pages that the 70-cent-an-hour increase in the minimum wage would cost some 300,000 jobs. Sure enough, the mandated increase to $7.25 took effect in July, and right on cue the August and September jobless numbers confirm the rapid disappearance of jobs for teenagers.

There are two numbers that everyone needs to understand. The "official" unemployment number. And the "real" unemployment number. Most have heard that the "official" unemployment number rose to 9.8% last month. Most of those same folks have not heard that the "real" unemployment number, as it was measured back during the depression, went to 17%. That is the number of people who want to work but can't find jobs. For the young, the real unemployment rate is now over 55%.

Our grand government of bureaucrats have all kinds of reasons for saying you don't count as "officially" unemployed though. You know, really powerful reasons. Such as you have run out of unemployment insurance and also couldn't find an employer who would give you an interview. That means that "officially" you are no longer part of the "work force" and therefore you are not "officially" unemployed.

Those rules are as big a joke as the solutions to unemployment that are being made into law. As this article notes, government insists that they can set wages by the act of setting "minimum wage" rates. They believe setting those wages too high will not impact unemployment. No matter how many studies prove that "minimum wage" laws fall disproportionately on the young, the knowledge never makes a difference to those passing the laws. Not even studies that show the impact on those young will last for decades matter to these people either. Such studies are ignored. Our government policies today are being dictated by the same wishful thinking delusions that always destroy socialist countries. Socialism always fails.

Most Americans voted for a socialist in the last election. We have a socialist for President. We have socialists in a majority of the positions in Congress. We are practicing the same kind of corruption, bailouts and wasteful spending that socialist governments always practice. Why is anyone surprised that our young are suffering the same way the young always suffer in socialist nations?

Chicago has been eliminated from Olympic balloting in the early rounds of voting by the International Olympic Committee, a stunningly swift defeat for the U.S. bid personally pitched by President Barack Obama.

Barack Obama has alienated many of the world's nations that have always been our allies. He has made clear his animosity for England, Germany, France, India, Poland, Czech, Canada and Australia. They have responded in kind. Though it was only recently under George W. Bush that India had become a reliable ally, the rest of these nations have long sided with America and been our supporters. It has to be brutally humiliating to realize how little influence Barack Obama has in the world when America is defeated so completely. We were not even close. Out in the first round.

Obama's new favorite nations, Cuba, Venezuela, Iran, Russia and any other nation that embraces Communism or Socialism, are still our nation's enemies. Did Obama really think that he could gain their friendship by selling out our allies?

No one trusts this buffoon.

US Relinquishes Control Of The Internet

Icann – the official body that ultimately controls the development of the internet thanks to its oversight of web addresses such as .com, .net and .org – said today that it was ending its agreement with the US government.

The deal, part of a contract negotiated with the US department of commerce, effectively pushes California-based Icann towards a new status as an international body with greater representation from companies and governments around the globe.

Icann had previously been operating under the auspices of the American government, which had control of the net thanks to its initial role in developing the underlying technologies used for connecting computers together.

But the fresh focus will give other countries a more prominent role in determining what takes place online, and even the way in which it happens – opening the door for a virtual United Nations, where many officials gather to discuss potential changes to the internet.

Think this is a good thing? Consider that most countries around the world block web sites they disapprove of. This new "governance" will almost certainly give more power to Communist China to suppress web sites that criticize them. The new power will simply extend that censorship to web sites here in America too.

If it was good for America, the hate monger Barack Obama would never have agreed. This is simply one more way that he is criticizing America. We invented the Internet. We built the Internet. Now we must give it away to the rest of the world. Why? Because Barack Hussein Obama wants it that way.

For Obama's Internet Czar, Cass Sunnstein "part of the answer lies in recognizing that a ‘chilling effect' on those who would spread destructive falsehood can be an excellent idea." This quote comes straight out of his new book. Please note that "destructive falsehood" means you have criticized Obama. There is no defense just because it might be true. This is not about your opinion, but about Obama's and the opinion of those who worship him.

The U.S. Abandons the Internet

What makes it possible for users to connect with all the different Web sites on the Internet is the system that allocates a unique electronic address to each site. The addresses are organized within larger entities called top-level domains—".com," ".edu," ".gov" and so on. Overseeing this arrangement is a relatively obscure entity, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). Without the effective oversight of ICANN, the Internet as we know it would not exist, billions of dollars of online commerce and intellectual property would be at risk, and various forms of mass censorship could become the norm.

It appears very clear that, like Jimmy Carter in the 70s, Obama is perfectly willing to give away to the world resources and assets paid for by the American tax payer.
